Patriotic Reminder

A July 4th patriotic reminder:

We have a corrupt and treasonous Supreme Court abetting a criminal tyrant.

We're building a police state with privatized corporate concentration camps without due process. 

Meanwhile the subjects of King Charles have healthcare, a right to due process, and the rule of law.

We showed them!!

While I continue to honor the patriots of 1776 and all American patriots who fought for our continued freedom and liberty I felt nothing this year for the first time in my life. Did nothing to celebrate. Because on this day, this year, there is nothing to celebrate as I look forward.

I feel nothing but a felt sense of deep betrayal. The criminal Felon and insurrectionist sitting in the Oval Office surrounded by a bunch of fascist sycophants sickens me. That 80 million Americans could not see clearly the reality of what they were voting to reelect to the presidency continues to trouble me. Even though I realize their is no point in being troubled because the filth is out of the bag again and there is no way we can put it in the place where it eally belongs. The significantly corrupted scotus made sure of that. The fascists are now sitting on the highest (actually now the ethically lowest) court in the land.

It's our turn to find little reason to celebrate the lost cause of equal justice under law and American democracy.

Of course women and Native and Black Americans had similar perspectives.

We older Americans are the lucky ones. In our lifetimes we saw voting and civil rights expanded. We saw the US as a leader of the free world. We saw science, journalism and education as national priorities.

We valued decency, equality and democracy.

America WAS becoming greater until FOX(R) and hate radio poisoned our information and news networks, and the RepublicaNazis were given the power by a treasonous Supreme Court and ignorant, indifferent and amoral voters to tear it all down.

The fatal flaws in the founders' vision were the undemocratic Senate and Electoral College. Fascists were finally able to utilize those flaws to tear the country apart.

He has excited domestic insurrections amongst us…


From undermining trade to denying justice, from deporting the defenseless to inciting insurrections—all under false pretext—King George sounds a lot like our country’s current hostile ruler.

I’m not much into predictions, but I guessed this morning that the Star Tribune might get around to taking note of University of Minnesota Professor Melanie Yazzie — not with respect to her extremist rant following the massacre of 10/7 about dismantling Israel and the United States or the Title VI complaint against her submitted to the university this week,

Since you have nothing to add about my post, I'll take it that you agree with me.

"Decolonization" was the subject of Melanie's points. As far as I see, her criticism of Israel isn't calling for killing or persecution of Jews.

In case you don't know, Palestinians are being slaughtered by Israeli colonizers occupying their land and Native Americans have been slaughtered by American colonizers occupying their land.

These are the facts, like them or not.

Are you're wondering why they don't love colonization?

You're worried about a Native American talking about dismantling the US while Trump has been working at doing just that since J6.

So, what's your take on Ann Coulter saying, "We didn't kill enough Indians"?

Anonymous wants me to publish his nasty hateful lie, "The Democratic Party Welcomes Those Who Want to Kill Jews".
NO Democrat welcomes anyone who endorsed killing Jews. Trump's Klan, Proud Boys, and white supremacists are the antisemites.
The ignorant asshole doesn't understand most Jews are Democrats.
And what did Trump say about THEM? "I hate Democrats".
Seems Trump is the one who really hates Jews and only kisses Netanyahu's ass to curry favor from his racist white Christian Nationalists.

Dave... your last comment is THE issue, isn't it.

Fast forward past years of governmental and institutional racism supported by the Dems. That was upended in the mid 1960's with the LBJ Admin. Then people like ex KKK Grand Wizard Robert Byrd repudiated his Klan membership and asked for forgiveness, pledging to work everyday to undo the wrongs he had done.

It was in the 60's that the GOP, once the progressive party in America, decided to embrace the vacuum created when the Dems left their past behind.

Someone had to stand for and support those poor racist voters and by gosh, the GOP took up the torch, literally.

But let's take them at their words that they, along with Anon and many other MAGA are not a bunch of racists. let's believe them 100%.

And then let's ask the question the Anons and MAGA people of the world never answer...

Why do Nazis, racists, white supremacists and even current Klan sympathizers feel so comfortable supporting and being around the current GOP and the MAGA crowd?

Yes. Of course the short answer to your question is Trump gives racists the license to be themselves, and to feel a sense of unity and belonging with fellow racists.

What an odd question. My question is where is the medical report, the scar and evidence of tissue repair?

The fact is, I was not comfortable, knowing how tyrants capitalize on assassination attempts. Even staged ones.

This is always followed by claims like, "God saved the Fuhrer for his divine mission" bullshit. I knew Trump would do the same, and it would probably help him win.

So my reply to anonymous is, I was nowhere NEAR as comfortable as you were with Trump's violent and criminal attempt to steal the 2020 election. I am nowhere NEAR as comfortable as Anonymous with 500 tons of food rotting because Trump didn't want it to go to hungry people. I am nowhere NEAR as comfortable as Anonymous with Americans about to lose healthcare and food stamps so the rich get more tax cuts. I am nowhere NEAR as comfortable as Anonymous with Trump corrupting the Department of Justice, calling people like me the "enemy within", deporting immigrant veterans, and sending people to concentration camps in swamps without due process. I am nowhere NEAR as comfortable as Anonymous with the traitors on the Supreme Court who bailed Trump out of facing justice for his crimes and giving him the immunity from the law that only dictators have.

Shall I go on?

One person NOT comfortable is Trump over the Epstein files.

Hmm. I wonder why that is?
