He sure likes to pull this kind of crap time and time again. It's his MO, all talk and lies with no action. How the hell can he even talk health care? Everyone should know by now that these bastards are in the SCOTUS trying to end the ACA. Personally, it's been stressful for at least 3.75 years now, as every time you turn around health care is threatened. It's sad his cult believes his BS and will on health care or anything else, as well.

How about these two golden oldies? In 2015 or 2016, Melania was suppose to give a speech in two weeks about her immigration status or situation. Crickets. In 2018 right before the election, the middle class will be getting a tax cut. Crickets. I can't remember if it was going to be 10 or 15%. Today, we could have a vaccine by November. What will the crickets do?

Tim,
Just relax and trust the "Only One" who can fix everything. Have you noticed how covid has all but disappeared after it got warmer in April?

It's all under control.

Trump tried for several months to get the Republicans behind his effort to get the FICA tax repealed which would bankrupt Social Security and also affect Medicare. I believe he is doing this so corporations can save Billions by not contributing 7% of their employees pay into the S.S. account.

Republicans did not back Trump because undermining S.S. in an election year is political suicide. So now Trump will try to do it all on his own by presidential decree.

Her is an article about it: https://www.commondreams.org/news/2020/08/06/retirees-vow-fight-attempt-gut-social-security-trump-announces-executive-order

Woodenman,
The Republicans' crusade to take us back into feudalism has been their ongoing agenda. Anything that hurts the little guy or minorities is their goal. The other side of this evil game is to give corporations and the rich EVERYTHING they want.

Of course the only way to accomplish this is to gain political power by dividing Americans against each other. This is the purpose of their "Democrats are socialists who hate America" and "Journalists and educators are the enemies of the people" lies.

While the Democratic Party is nothing close to a socialist party, Republicans under Trump are employing all the tactics of fascism.

The hate they sow is rivaled only by Hitler's Nazis. If we didn't have a Bill of Rights American neo-Nazis would throw us into camps, or shoot us on sight.

The American Right is nothing but the spawn of corporate greed, white nationalism, and their Nazi forebears.

They are truly that evil. They will do as much damage as they possible can. Look where we are now.

Dave, lo and behold we can all breathe a sigh of relief and sleep again. The " Only One " will fix more things. He said in about two weeks he'll sign an Executive Order to protect pre-existing conditions. Why? Does he know it's the law now? I think the only reason he said he'll do this is to baffle people with BS. He can't dazzle anyone with brilliance, at least the people who are paying attention. What a fool. He also wants to save the enhanced unemployment compensation, rent/mortgage moratorium, student loans payments and implement a payroll tax cut all by EO. If I hear him say Executive Order again, I may vomit. We'll see how many more attorneys will have to be hired to defend this crap. No one can say he doesn't know how to create jobs. He's done a real fine job for the legal profession at least. The two week time clock has been started again.

Either Trump is crazy as a loon or he really does not want to be president again. After this get widely circulated I do not see how he could win .

Woody,
The core of the problem isn't the fact the Republican Party has always opposed public safety nets like Social Security. George W. Bush floated privatization of Social Security after he was reelected, only to be soundly rejected.

The reason this isn't widely circulated, and will not be widely circulated, is corporate media rarely mention the Republican's ongoing war on Social Security and safety nets.

Instead of obsessing with the Big MAGAt's tweets, the public would be better served by consistent reporting on the GOP's pro-corporate agenda of the richest .01%.

It's always been about the public's need behind private interests.

As Leslie Moonves said about Donald Trump: "It May Not Be Good for America, but It's Damn Good for CBS".

We don't call it "corporate media" for no reason.
