Tweets In The Wind

I was never interested in shallow, ego-stroking, gossipy social media. I’m already too shallow and ego-stroking. I never had any interest in working for the Zuckerman data mine. If I wanted to hang with Russians and angry idiots, I'd go to Trump Tower or a rally. No, thank you.

I don’t know why I relented to the relentless prodding from friends and family to go on Twitter. I resent relenting. While I confess to learning tidbits of information, I resent wasting more of my time being tethered to screens. I look in mostly for distraction lately.

I don’t even know if the account stays active after long neglect. I don’t care.

In the event I just abandon Twitter, or it abandons me, I’ll record most of my “Tweets In The Wind” here for posterity. Apologies for the shameless plugs, and for the mild annoyance in readers with a  longer attention span than a caffeinated child, which I resemble more and more lately.

Ironically, I'm compiling these tweets for the benefit of the few in my life who never stare at screens. It will be satisfying to hand them hard copies, guaranteed to survive the Eloctro-Magnetic Pulses that will end civilization as we know it.

These remarks, in reverse chronology, skim over some of the strange and terrible events of just the past seven months.

~~~~~
How evil prevails: Republicans don’t HAVE to be sex offenders to gain high office. They just need to “strongly deny” the charges. That should settle it. Keep the "biased" FBI out of it. The conservative Republican men, the "real victims", have suffered enough.
John McCain is gone. He had a sense of honor and basic human decency that is no longer found in American Con-servatism. He condemned “half-baked, spurious nationalism cooked up by people who would rather find scapegoats than solve problems.”
#Orwell "Truth isn't truth". "1984" tells us how far we've descended as a nation. The downward trajectory is steeper than ever.
"What you’re seeing and what you’re reading is not what’s happening". This Orwellian line may as well be the motto of the Trump far Right agenda. It conforms perfectly to the mission of FOX(R), Breitbart, and Limbaugh.
Putin's Puppet: A Love Story The big meeting every sane person dreads is upon us. Putin's going have an entertaining, and very rewarding, day for sure. Secrets will be spilled. After all, "No Puppet" Don likes to make a good impression with Russians.
In case anyone missed this. The bottom line: By word, wink and nod, Trump got his loyalty oath, a promise of immunity, and the power to pardon himself from Kavanaugh. Wall Street and the Kochs now have the Supreme Court. The USA is now a failed state.
The emotional strain and trauma for CHILDREN needlessly taken from their parents arms and ruthlessly imprisoned is State Sponsored Child Abuse. The KINDERGULAG: State Sponsored Child Abuse
Who believes this con? Kirstjen Nielsen says, "We do not have a policy of separating families at the border. Period. Don’t believe the press.” How to create future sociopaths? Traumatize children by taking them from their parents and locking them in cages. Mission Accomplished.
Trump/Alt-Right/Authoritarian Dirty Dozen Rules of Discourse: Deceive Define Deflect Distract Demand Demean Demonize Despise Dictate Discredit Dismiss Distort
To protect the Cult leader, the alt-Right and FOX seek to discredit the Justice Department and shut down a productive investigation into Russian interference in our election. It amounts to treason, the deepest betrayal of our country. All in service to the Big Dotard.
The "Meeting of Two Dictators Summit" went as if Kim is in possession of a copy of Putin's video of the Dotard's hotel activities in Moscow... Predictions and Update: What To Expect From Singapore? More Winning...For Kim.
Not strange, Bernie. Sad. Very sad.(Bernie: I find it very strange that President Trump has such a hard time getting along with the leaders of the world's major democracies but feels very comfortable with despots and authoritarian leaders like Putin, Xi Jinping, Duterte and Mohammad Bin Salman.)
As horrifying as the first two sentences are, the greater tragedy is in the third. Cowardice is bad enough. The shredding of the Constitution and betrayal of our country is now the ruling party's agenda. (Steve Schmidt: TRUMP disgraced the Presidency and the United States at the G-7 summit. From his slovenly appearance to his unpreparedness, ignorance and arrogance, he beclowned himself. The Republican majority is filled with cowards who are servile supplicants to the most unfit POTUS ever)
FOX(R) v. Journalism: Exhibit A. Sean Hannity asked Ted Koppel, “You think I'm bad for America?” Koppel responded, “Yep. You have attracted people who are determined that ideology is more important than facts.” Ideology over facts. THERE's your "enemy of the people".
The Nazis of the 1930's used the term “Lügenpresse”, or lying press, in their campaign to destroy journalism.
We know the routine. When White American Conservatives feel their privileged social order is threatened they become angry.
The Right sees Constitutional taxes, regulations, and public health care as oppressive “tyranny". The Left sees unprovoked war, torture, corruption, accepting Russian interference, voter suppression, and brutal law enforcement as tyranny. Who are the "real Americans"?
Fascism And State Media: Manipulation of fear, anger, hate, racism and blame has been a primary tool of fascists and tyrants throughout history. Ours is no exception. The Party of Trump hates a free press and democracy.
Dana's (Loesch) Dear Leader whom she and the NRA helped elect says the press is the "enemy of the people". Now THAT's authoritarian...and outright fascist.
Like a lost runaway joining a cult, America surrendered its conscience, mind, and soul to an authoritarian regime. And Trump wasn't the first. In 2004 we re-elected a man who lied us into war.
The NRA and far Right are frightened. They have always been paranoid. Every time a Democrat is in the White House they howl, "They're coming for our guns! They're going to repeal the Second Amendment!" Fear And Loathing From The Axis Of Slaughter WaPo: Ted Nugent says Parkland students "have no soul," calls them "mushy-brained children"
The GOP/NRA say no assault rifle was used in mass shootings. Definition: Any of various intermediate-range, magazine-fed military rifles that can be set for automatic or semiautomatic fire; A rifle that resembles a military assault rifle designed to allow only semiautomatic fire"
The silence alone in Emma Gonzales' historic 6 minute, 20 second speech spoke more truth than the Republican/NRA/Trump Axis of Slaughter ever could.
Trump to Putin: Congratulations on winning the election. Putin to Trump: Thank you Komrad! I told you we could do it. And I also won the election in Russia!
Through their outright lies, the radical Right has waged war on our Constitution’s regulation of commerce and provision for the general welfare. They actively suppress voter rights, democracy, a free press, science, education, unions and minorities
“Collusion” is not a legal term. Conspiracy is, and that is EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED when Trump’s people attempted to conspire with Russians to defeat Hillary. Obstruction of Justice is a legal term, and that is also EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED.
Is anybody else wondering why FOX(R) isn't complaining about "state media" anymore? (Jake Tapper: If you’re a news organization and the folks in power are constantly praising you, you’re doing it wrong. By definition.)
This is kleptocracy in full swing. Trump's blatantly corrupt crony capitalism and nepotism are rewarding the worst people in the country. Guess who gets to pay the bill? Lock them up! (Citizens For Ethics: Billionaire investor and longtime Trump confidant Carl Icahn dumped $31.3 million of stock in a company heavily dependent on steel last week, just days before Trump announced plans to impose steep tariffs on steel imports.)
It would be interesting to know how many of us gun owners understand there is no need for AR 15s for self-defense. It is the body count that rises when military style weapons flood our civilian population.
Evidence? Must be some liberal media/journalist/educator/scientist/FBI conspiracy theory. (Neil deGrasse Tyson: Evidence collected over many years, obtained from many locations, indicates that the power of Prayer is insufficient to stop bullets from killing school children.)
Is this thing on? Since I've been dragged kicking and screaming onto Twitter, I may as well start out by annoying some MAGA fanatics, clueless jerks, and other gullible fools. "When MAGAts Attack".
Who needs to waste time on bumper stickers, anyway?
Dave,
Glad you mentioned draft dodging Nugent. The fool is in Marquette today campaigning for Republicons, Ed McBroom and Lisa Lyons seeking a State Senate seat and the Lt. Governor seat respectively. Wish I had known and could have gone there to hear what the dodger had to say and protest.
Tim,
The asshole probably flew in from Texas, where he now calls home, to interfere with our election. He should go back to shilling for Ted Cruz. Michigan has had enough of the racist chicken hawk.
Dave,
Trying to figure out what the first two posts have to do with the subject of your thread.
In regards to your thread, I hope after your rant you feel all better now.
CHEERS! ;)
Dave Dubya said...
Majormajor,
Thanks. I feel a little better, but I still dislike social media.
Are you referring to our mentioning your fellow Texan, Potty Pants Chicken Hawk Nugent?
Among several references to the NRA, and the whining "victims" of "Obama the Gun Grabber", there was this:
Ted Nugent says Parkland students "have no soul," calls them "mushy-brained children"
Nice guy, huh? Such hate is deplorable. His Trumpian racist hate for Obama the "sub-human mongrel" was bad enough, but attacking young victims of a mass shooting is about as low as one can go. A real tough guy, there, picking on high-school kids. And a good Christian too, I'm sure.
Lots of items to choose from, should you care to discuss any of them.
Majormajor said...
Dave,
It is a potpourri of a rant, that's for sure.
Hey did you see the mass shooter in MD was woman and BLACK and not a member of the NRA and didn't use an AR15? Bet that story disappears quickly.
Question, if any of her victims were white would that make the shooting a hate crime?
Jefferson's Guardian said...
Dave, it's tough to pick a favorite, but this moment in time has this one high on the list:
"The Right sees Constitutional taxes, regulations, and public health care as oppressive 'tyranny'. The Left sees unprovoked war, torture, corruption, accepting Russian interference, voter suppression, and brutal law enforcement as tyranny. Who are the 'real Americans'?"
Perhaps this following one has relevance considering the call for an investigation of the alleged sexual assault by rightwing activist Judge Bret Kavanaugh:
"Evidence? Must be some liberal media/journalist/educator/scientist/FBI conspiracy theory. (Neil deGrasse Tyson: Evidence collected over many years, obtained from many locations, indicates that the power of Prayer is insufficient to stop bullets from killing school children.)"
If the Government Of Putin would submit to its collective consciousness (which doesn't exist) and do the "right" thing (which it most undoubtedly will, instead of the correct and proper thing), it would order an FBI investigation of this alleged sexual predator prior to the accuser's testimony.
Of course this will not happen, for we all know by now that sexual predators advance quickly in the neo-Republican Party of today.
LOL
Undoubtedly. The most reactionary neo-Republicans hide behind a thin veil of faux Christianity. They've smeared and defiled the good name of Jesus of Nazareth.
Majormajor said...
Dave,
How do you feel about John James, sounds white but is black and is a conservative Christian Republican.
If he wins will the "White American Conservatives feel their privileged social order is threatened".
Based on some of the posts here I doubt anger is the sole purview of conservatives.
"Full swing", indeed. The rape and pillage of the American working- and middle-classes continues unabated. Of course the poorly educated and low-information types continue to blame "big government", despite the deficits, and strangling debt -- overwhelmingly incurred during Republican administrations.
Again, it's total ideology -- with a lack of facts and truth and knowledge.
Alas, those are the consequences of the fourth turning we find ourselves wrestling to escape.
Another tweet brimming with "truthiness".
I see the mobster-in-chief was rallying the despicable again last night, somewhere.
His verbiage and tone, combined with the cheers and yelling at a fevered pitch from his despicable base, reminded me of Adolf Hitler addressing his loyal followers in grainy old film from the '30s.
We're seeing the nucleus of the Fourth Reich emerge, at about the supposed mid-point of our Fourth Turning. Let's resist at all costs, otherwise a First Turning may not be in our nation's immediate future -- if ever again.
Dave Dubya said...
Trump's "Hillbilly Nuremberg Rallies " (Bill Maher's term) indicate a depth of darkness never seen in our country. The concept of four turnings is a view of past trends. I can see this downward spiral continuing with no further turnings. Just more descent. Never before have we been in permanent state of war, while our vital institutions are under attack from within and without.
Reversal, or a turning, needs basic conditions. Democracy is needed for that. Journalism is needed. Educated, enlightened and informed citizens are needed. All of these are deliberate targets of the Fourth Reich. And they are winning their war. They are taking complete power. Putin basks in victory and glory with every Trump tweet.
Remember, "We will bury you"?
It wasn't Khrushchev's communist Soviet Union that buried us. Our own corporate masters and puppets are burying us.
At best, Obama and the Democrats only delayed the far Right's ongoing coup. The enemies of freedom, truth, justice and democracy are now in power.
I cannot see any way out of the rigged game, with a government that is owned and corrupted by powerful capitalists. The fatal flaws are the slave states' demand for the Electoral College, gerrymandering, and disproportionate power of the rural state dominated Senate. These are the poison pills of our Republic, and all are lethal weapons in the Right's war on consent of the governed. Add the fact their propaganda network has been as successful as Orwell's "Ministry of Truth", and I have to conclude even this sad time of Trump will soon become the Good Old Days.
I never thought I'd feel so lucky to be as old as I am.
George Carlin was our national prophet. "This country is finished". He's right. Our nation's highest ideal is consent of the governed, and it has been soundly defeated.
It's time to start over and make a new democratic republic, with consent of the governed, civil rights, and equality under the law being the standard for a new Constitution. Corporate personhood regarding elections should be the first anti-democratic vestige to go. We can keep the good parts, but the antiquated anti-democratic elements need to go.
A political party dedicated to these principles will succeed, if they dare take up the gauntlet.
Otherwise, think only a catastrophic natural event, viral epidemic, nuclear war, economic collapse or other such horror will shake the complacency and power structure to change. And it could always take a turn for the worse.
Greed, corruption, and the authoritarian personality are to blame. Our species seems internally wired towards extinction. The overactive primitive "fight or flight" amygdala of authoritarian personalities needs to evolve. It served a purpose in caves, but it perverts and kills a free and open modern society.
I believe only evolution and a revolution of conscience and consciousness can save humanity. Thankfully there are still many of us fighting on the side of truth, democracy, equality, and now survival, of our species.
If younger generations understand this, they just might make it a better place. Some are listening. Capitalism's flaws are being revealed. Socialism is gaining in popularity. A balance needs to be found. If they can promote the general welfare and regulate the greed and corruption of capitalism as the founders intended, there is hope.
Majormaor,
My bias is against bigotry, hate, and dishonesty from any race or class. Yes, from Trump to NOI to the tiki parade. What's your problem with that?
After following you for several years it is clear that you see bigotry and racism behind every tree...It is your over whelming bias...
Unless you cite examples, this is more false accusation. YOU brought up racism in the workplace shooting. Why?
What makes you think I'm "giving the benefit of the doubt" to a killer, anyway? I didn't condone it. I just said I don't know the motive of what drove her to kill others and her self. You don't know either, but still you want to use it as a club to accuse me.
Why? Could it be YOUR bias against me? From all your evidence-free accusations, it seems so.
If you want to blame me for something, go ahead; but cite evidence of my words or acts. Otherwise YOU come off as the bigot. Do you understand this? Blame and accusation without evidence is at the heart of bigotry.
You brought up racism in most of your comments in this thread, as if YOU are the one seeing racism behind every tree.
Why? Are you obsessed?
You don't want us to think all white conservatives are bigots, do you? You act as if that is your mission.
I say your problem is you see devils everywhere, in all who disagree with your ideology. Like a cult.
Majormajor said...
I am sick and tired of the hypocrisy of the Democrats and here is why. Who among the "out raged" Dem. Senators have complained about serving with Democratic who have admitted to sexual assault?
Sen. Sharrod Brown's ex-wife claimed in court he threw her against a wall, " and showed physical violence and an abusive nature. Larke Brown made the claim when it happened in 1986, not 36 years later.
One would think it might be difficult to serve with Sen. Tom Carper. He admitted in 1998 to giving his now ex-wife a slap and black eye "just once". When will the "ME TOO" movement be asking how many free poke does a man get to take at his wife?
What about Cory "Spartacus" Booker admitting grouping a female "friend" while in high school? His confession of grouping in high school renders ridiculous his expression of outrage over some one else "alleged" grouping during the same age in life.
Then there is Sen. Mazie Hirono is a female member of the Senate Judicial Committee, where she asks every male judicial nominee if they have every sexually harassed or assaulted anyone. Yet Hirono's Senate campaign accepted $1000 from Sen. (I hit her only only once) Carper. Hirono will not say if she has talked to Carper about his spousal abuse or if she has returned the $1000.
Finally there is Keith Ellison accused of assaulting two women as an adult, with police records supporting one of the assaults. Yet Ellison remains the Deputy Chair of the DNC, the party's 2nd highest position. None of the Dem. expressing outrage over Judge Kavanaugh possibly serving on the Supreme Court have shown any public discomfort over Ellison being their number 2 in the DNC.
So what do the Democrats really care about? They only care about power and moving America left.
Dave Dubya said...
Whataboutism, again? Hypocrisy?? What about Trump? What about Roy Moore? Those were crimes.
Like Trump, those democrats were elected, not appointed to a life term on the Supreme Court. False equivalence and whataboutism.
CNN editor-at-large Chris Cillizza argues Booker's free admission of groping a female friend, which Booker said was a "wake-up call" about women and consent, differs from Kavanaugh's denial of an accusation from Dr. Christine Blasey Ford, a California professor who says Kavanaugh groped her while forcibly holding her down at a high school party.
Booker and the girl were making out and he reached for a breast. She slapped it away. He DID NOT pin her down and cover her mouth to silence her. Huge difference.
“After having my hand pushed away once, I reached my ‘mark,'” Booker wrote. “Our groping ended soon and while no ‘relationship’ ensued, a friendship did. You see, the next week in school she told me that she was drunk that night and didn’t really know what she was doing.”
So, what about it?
Jefferson's Guardian said...
Once again, and as expected, Timmy clings to a false equivalency and declines to reply to the differences between (1) unwelcome petting vs. assault with intent to rape; and (2) a lifetime appointment vs. a limited term in an elected position.
He further deflects by criticizing a black man for taking unwelcome advances and acknowledging it and backing off, while approving of a adult white man molesting a child.
Is this a sign of your secret perversions, Timmy?...or is it just win at any cost? Would you like me to take a guess?
If not, give me an answer.
There you go again, MM, injecting race into the discussion. You are obsessed. I never said I was OK with sex abusers. That's your projection.
You seem to have a big problem with Black people.
Obama gets credit for the recovery from the Bush Recession and growing economy he left his successor, as he should. You want to deny the Black president that fact. What does that say about YOU? He's not in office, yet you still need to attack him. Why is that? What does it say about you, when you agree with racists in demeaning the Black president at every opportunity?
Just trying to figure out your standards
My standards are clear. I DID NOT and will not vote for any sex predators. YOU did, and you still defend him. I refused to vote for Bill Clinton when his slimy behavior became known.
That never stopped YOU from voting for Trump. That is the clear difference in our standards.
A better question is what are YOUR standards? Honesty is obviously not one of them. Will you still love your criminal Putin puppet when he's proven guilty of his crimes? Can he murder someone on Fifth Ave. and still have your support?
Seems so. You are a loyal authoritarian follower.
He's very nervous about something in his past. He went so far as to threaten you, with help from his "Deep state" allies.
Aren't you terrorized enough? How dare you not be intimidated by such a great and powerful authoritarian Republican?
"More Authoritarian Tactics and Rules of Discourse"
Obama snaps at young rally attendees: ‘I’m talking to you! You! Pay attention!’
Barack Obama wasn’t happy those young whipper snappers apparently weren’t hanging on his every word (about himself) on Friday.
“I’m talking to you, young people!” he snapped, pointing his finger with a stern look at some kids attending his rally for Pennsylvania Democrats.
“You! Pay attention!” he lectured with the air of a disappointed parent.
In the roughly 33-minute remarks, the former president said “I” 56 times, “Me” 5 times, and “My” 4 times, talking about himself a total of 65 times, or once about every 30 seconds.
TB3 said...
I always find it funny when people like MM say President Obama (or any intelligent person, really) "lectured". It's a descriptor given by people who have never been to a lecture. Look. We get it. You don't like what he says, despite the fact you didn't even listen to what he said. You can go to CSpan right this second and actually listen to the speech. Obama didn't "lecture" or "snap". Whoever wrote what MM just regurgitated needs to actually attend a lecture. They might learn the difference between it and a political rally.
Whatever happened to the conservative contribution to the "marketplace of ideas"?
Authoritarian Tactics
A proposed question regarding citizenship on the 2020 census generated a remarkable amount of online feedback, with much of it negative comments copied and pasted from opposing group’s suggestions, the Commerce Department said Friday.
The comment period on the Federal Register closed Aug. 7, and officials said Friday they had collected more than 147,000, “an incredibly high number,” according to a department spokesperson.
Most of the comments were negative, although a breakdown on that score was not provided. Of that total, some 85 percent were deemed “duplications or very similar,” suggesting that campaigns opposed to the question were successful.
The left-wing Southern Poverty Law Center, for example, asked people to “help us flood” the Register’s comment stream.
“It will trigger further mistrust in immigrant communities already living in fear because of President Trump’s xenophobic rhetoric and aggressive enforcement actions,” the SPLC wrote at its website. “This is simply a bad idea — one driven by the Trump administration’s anti-immigrant agenda.”
Bad....Trump
Dave,
Did you see the article in the WSJ by Shelby Steele September from 23, 2018?
"Why the Left Is Consumed With Hate"
I'm going to share with you two paragraphs summarize today's left.
"The left had important achievements. It did rescue America from an unsustainable moral illegitimacy. It also established the great menace of racism as America’s most intolerable disgrace. But the left’s success has plunged it into its greatest crisis since the ’60s. The Achilles’ heel of the left has been its dependence on menace for power. Think of all the things it can ask for in the name of fighting menaces like “systemic racism” and “structural inequality.” But what happens when the evils that menace us begin to fade, and then keep fading?
It is undeniable that America has achieved since the ’60s one of the greatest moral evolutions ever. That is a profound problem for the left, whose existence is threatened by the diminished of racial oppression. The left’s unspoken terror is that racism is no longer menacing enough to support its own power. The great crisis for the left today—the source of its angst and hatefulness—is its own encroaching obsolescence. Today the left looks to be slowly dying from lack of racial menace."
Your thoughts please.
Dave Dubya said...
Majormajor,
Well, since you said, "please".
Do you agree or disagree with Steele’s assertion that, “The left had important achievements. It did rescue America from an unsustainable moral illegitimacy.”?
If he’s right, then the Left is moral, and NOT just evil commies after all? Your thoughts are welcome, too.
Steele’s tactic is assigning racism to the past. He’s wrong, and you know it. Although progress has been made, “systemic racism” and “structural inequality” are still present. Look no further than the Right’s war on minority voter rights, access to polls and obstacles to registration.
He praises Trump’s “special charisma”. Would racist birtherism be part of that special charisma? It was, after all, the tactic that garnered the racists and far Right to Trump’s corner.
It’s interesting that he sees no hate in the legions of white supremacist Trump supporters, and no hate at rallies where they demand the imprisonment of his political opponents.
I would suggest leveling all the blame at liberals with no evidence is itself hateful.
He regurgitates the far Right dogma about “the failure of virtually every program the left has ever espoused”. Nonsense. Poor people have benefited from safety nets. They get some health care, food stamps, and help with housing. These are good things and they are real. His dogma is false. In fact there would be no need for public safety nets if capitalism solved every problem. I fails in many ways for many people. It is corruptible and amoral. It is an artificial construct, geared primarily to the benefit of elites. Social programs are a vital balance to this.
He plays the same tired “Liberals hate America” card lie. He used the stupid Cuomo comment as a lame example of hate. He needed to take a Madonna quote out of context.
"Yes, I'm angry. Yes, I am outraged. Yes, I have thought an awful lot of blowing up the White House, but I know that this won't change anything. We cannot fall into despair. As the poet, W.H. Auden once wrote on the eve of World War II: We must love one another or die. I choose love. Are you with me? Say this with me: We choose love. We choose love. We choose love."
She admitted to anger, not hate, and then advocated love. Only the narrow mind of the far Right will project their hate into this.
And why does he see only racial issues as liberal causes? How narrow-minded. It’s interesting to see his incredibly large blind spot in this.
He’s utterly oblivious of white resentment and victimhood. He tags only Blacks.
“The menace of black victimization becomes the unarguable truth of the black identity. And here we are again, forever victims.”
Here is Trump’s base:
“The menace of white victimization becomes the unarguable truth of the white identity. And here we are again, forever victims.”
Their leader whines, “Not fair!” and “Rigged!” The Right has a lock on power, and still act like crybabies.
Yes, once again those poor white racists are the real victims. Just ask them.
Dave, You asked Timmy four questions. Good luck in getting an honest and sincere answer to even one of them. Here are the four, for Timmy's convenience:
"Do you agree or disagree with Steele’s assertion that, 'The left had important achievements. It did rescue America from an unsustainable moral illegitimacy.'?"
"If he’s right, then the Left is moral, and NOT just evil commies after all?"
"He praises Trump’s 'special charisma'. Would racist birtherism be part of that special charisma?"
"And why does he see only racial issues as liberal causes?"
Good luck...
Well, JG, that's how you know when you're winning. Force the people you're "debating" to always be on the 'A' side of 'Q&A' and you never have to be held accountable for your opinions. It's all one has when one doesn't have opinions of their own. I guess he sees the Right-Winger Talking Head and voices coming out of the radio asking nothing but questions, he must think that's how this all works.
Dave,
1. "Do you agree or disagree with Steele’s assertion?" Yes I agree, that's why I shared it with you.
2. The liberal of the 50's and 60' are not the same as today, in those decades they were not commies. Watching them assault Kananugh while overlooking the sexual assaults I've listed for you makes it difficult to call them moral today.
3. "Would racist birtherism be part of that special charisma?" No. Plus you seem to overlook that Trump has admitted he was wrong, kind of like Robert Byrd admitting he was wrong for being a member of the KKK. You should stop using that claim. And explain why questioning a person's birth origin is racist.
4. "And why does he see only racial issues as liberal causes?" Steele is a black man. As a white man, I find it folly to question him on the subject of race. I accept his experience as trustworthy. Just as he would accept my experience of black racism towards me. Or maybe it is because it is no longer 1955 in Little Rock, AR and he knows it.
Dave,
Do you believe a Conservative accused of a misdeed or crime is guilty until proven innocent? Do you believe the seriousness of a charge is more important that the nature of the evidence supporting the charge? Or lack of evidence to support the charge?
TB3, that's exactly how Timmy operates -- and has since I, unfortunately, came across him on Tom Degan's blog years ago.
He never opines or offers his own commentary -- only copies-and-pastes, and even then rarely attributes what he does to the author or publication.
He's not only a liar, but a thief also -- much like the mobster-in-chief.
You seem to have difficulty with a very easy concept. It's not overlooking something when you're focusing on another. Kavanaugh is up for nomination to the Highest Court in the land. Allegations have come out in regards to that nomination. Why would energy be expended investigating allegations unrelated to the nomination of Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court? You cherry pick some instances where it wasn't your preferred side of the aisle and you call it hypocrisy? Maybe Al Franken should have stuck with it, since his Republican colleagues seem to be all forgiveness and rainbows towards Kavanaugh's allegations.
"3. "Would racist birtherism be part of that special charisma?" No. Plus you seem to overlook that Trump has admitted he was wrong, kind of like Robert Byrd admitting he was wrong for being a member of the KKK. You should stop using that claim. And explain why questioning a person's birth origin is racist."
It only took Trump six years to admit he was wrong. And how is it racism? It's an insinuation based on the fact President Obama was our first African-American President and this type of theory was meant to "Other" him. Debate against that point all you want. President Trump not questioning anyone else's birth eligibility (McCain (Panama)? Cruz (Canada)?) other than Obama's (HAWAII) has the horrible appearance of it being solely based on the fact he was just a little different than others before him.
"4. "And why does he see only racial issues as liberal causes?" Steele is a black man. As a white man, I find it folly to question him on the subject of race. I accept his experience as trustworthy. Just as he would accept my experience of black racism towards me. Or maybe it is because it is no longer 1955 in Little Rock, AR and he knows it."
I am overjoyed that, based on this statement, you must be a powerful proponent of Black Lives Matter.
"Do you believe a Conservative accused of a misdeed or crime is guilty until proven innocent? Do you believe the seriousness of a charge is more important that the nature of the evidence supporting the charge? Or lack of evidence to support the charge?"
Why are you even asking these questions? A PERSON accused of a misdeed or crime is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. That does not mean, based on the claims currently presented, people like Dave (The court of public opinion, not an actual court) are not allowed to formulate opinions based on that. Do you not have an opinion on the matter? Oh, you must be enthusiastically looking forward to the claims and allegations being investigated in order to formulate your opinion. Right? No sense rushing the confirmation, right? Make sure we not put a sex offender on the highest bench. Prudent move, MM.
MM,
I’m glad you’re taking the time to express your thoughts in your words.
1. Liberals have morals. Accepted fact.
2. I am a ‘60’s liberal. I did not convert to communism, and know of no others doing so. Another accusation without evidence?
3. Trump’s insincere forced “admission”, less that 60 days before the election, was a brief comment read from a script, after blaming Hillary for birtherism. He did not admit he was wrong. A senator reveals his backtracking on this. (See below.) The fact remains a large percentage of Republicans and Trump supporters still believe Obama was not born a US citizen. (See below.) You might find a racist or two in that group. Just saying.
4. If you trust a Black man’s experience as trustworthy on race that’s fine, conservative as it may be. But trusting a conservative’s opinion on liberals may indicate bias confirmation.
5. Accusations of sexual assault are not "assault". What would a reasonable person infer when the accuser passed a lie detector test AND welcomes an investigation, knowing it would be crime to lie to the FBI, while the accused and his defenders refuse to testify and oppose an investigation? Who looks like the honest party? Sadly, not the nominee for Supreme Court Justice.
SOME REPUBLICANS STILL THINK OBAMA WAS BORN IN KENYA AS TRUMP RESURRECTS BIRTHER CONSPIRACY THEORY
https://www.newsweek.com/trump-birther-obama-poll-republicans-kenya-744195
12-11-17 Newsweek:
If you thought birtherism was over, you thought wrong.
Survey results released by YouGov Friday show that 51 percent of Republicans said they think former President Barack Obama was born in Kenya, compared to just 14 percent of Democrats. Perhaps unsurprisingly, respondents who voted for Donald Trump in the 2016 election were especially convinced of Obama's African origins: Fully 57 percent said it was "definitely true" or "probably true" that the 44th president came from Kenya.
Trump finally admitted the truth in September, 2016, but the New York Times reported last month that the now-president is attempting to revive the conspiracy. The paper cited an anonymous senator who said Trump has brought up birtherism in private conversations recently, adding that the tycoon "has had a hard time letting go" of the idea that Obama was born abroad.
Trump Once Said the ‘Access Hollywood’ Tape Was Real. Now He’s Not Sure.
11-28-17
https://www.nytimes.com/2017/11/28/us/politics/trump-access-hollywood-tape.html?_r=1
“We don’t think that was my voice,” Trump backtracked on the Access Hollywood tape.
Mr. Trump’s falsehoods about the “Access Hollywood” tape are part of his lifelong habit of attempting to create and sell his own version of reality. Advisers say he continues to privately harbor a handful of conspiracy theories that have no grounding in fact.
In recent months, they say, Mr. Trump has used closed-door conversations to question the authenticity of President Barack Obama’s birth certificate. He has also repeatedly claimed that he lost the popular vote last year because of widespread voter fraud, according to advisers and lawmakers.
One senator who listened as the president revived his doubts about Mr. Obama’s birth certificate chuckled on Tuesday as he recalled the conversation. The president, he said, has had a hard time letting go of his claim that Mr. Obama was not born in the United States. The senator asked not to be named to discuss private conversations.
...And there is this from Media Matters:
After Dr. Christine Blasey Ford reported that Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her when they were in high school in the presence of Kavanaugh’s classmate and conservative writer Mark Judge, Senate Republicans want to rush a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on the matter allowing only Kavanaugh and Ford to testify.
Despite calls from Ford and committee Democrats to allow more time for a non-partisan investigation to take place, committee Chairman Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) rejected the proposal, claiming, “It would be a disservice to Dr. Ford, Judge Kavanaugh, this Committee, and the American people to delay this hearing any further.” Echoing the calls to allow more time before the hearing, Sen. Doug Jones (D-AL) pointed out the need to include Judge in the hearing, suggesting that “the Judiciary Committee should subpoena him if he refuses to testify.”
Judge is a prolific writer for right-wing sites, and many of the things he's written are incredibly disturbing:
The disturbing writings of Brett Kavanaugh's friend Mark Judge
• Judge bragged that he had been a peeping Tom as a teenager, climbing a tree to spy on an unsuspecting girl.
• Judge wrote that men are unable to control sexual urges for teenagers while arguing that some cases of sexual abuse of students should be expected as the normal outcome of teacher-student interactions.
• Judge mischaracterized President Donald Trump’s Access Hollywood tape: “Trump boasted about women allowing him to kiss and grab them because of his fame.”
• Judge minimized Woody Allen’s reported sexual abuse as “questionable decisions in his personal life.”
• Judge suggested that Harvey Weinstein could be rehabilitated if he teamed up with actor-cum-evangelical Kirk Cameron.
• Judge downplayed sexual abuse of minors by adults by noting that minors also get a lot of “opportunities” that abuse can provide and by claiming “the world may have been different.”
• Judge claimed men should “go out as a group, act like animals, and exclude women from the fun.”
• Judge argued society should allow the “darker aspects of [men’s] personalities” to play a more prominent role because it makes us a “stronger and more self-assured people.”
• Judge penned an article in “defense of the ‘sexist’ celebrity profile.”
• Judge wrote that feminists need to support white males in order for white males to support feminists.
• While advocating for more male teachers, Judge suggested men could teach male students about violence against women in ways female teachers or “feminist theory” couldn’t.
Dave Dubya said...
And more:
• Judge complained that “women are allowed to dress however they like, but men are ordered to have no reaction.”
• Judge wrote that CBS anchor and journalist Norah O’Donnell “is a piece of ass” and “owes her position to the face and body she sees in the mirror every morning.”
• Judge claimed that white celebrities try to gain legitimacy in pop culture by acting “ghetto” or “imitate the worst black urban culture,” i.e. “crime, illiteracy, misogyny.”
• Judge yearned for the days when African-American elites were “well dressed” and “well mannered.”
• Judge asked whether police brutality against Black people and other issues raised by Black Lives Matter are “not even really problems.”
• Judge called Michelle Obama a “resentful, plotting African-American Artemisia” and said Barack Obama rose to power by “heeding the militant advice of an angry woman.”
• Judge wrote that riots in Washington, D.C., after Martin Luther King Jr.’s assassination were caused by “black revolutionaries combined with broken homes and juvenile delinquency.”
• Judge wondered in a column titled “Gay Sex,” “Are gay people perverts?”
• Judge conflated homosexuality with molestation.
• Judge criticized Caitlyn Jenner’s transition, called transgender people the “new cult of mutable sexuality,” and compared Jenner’s transition to the girl possessed by a demon in The Exorcist.
• Judge criticized a play on Broadway claiming it “features a lecture from transgenders,” and suggested there aren’t any straight white playwrights.
• Judge positively reviewed a book he said argued that “the modern transgender phenomenon and its defenders share a similar mentality to that which produced Nazi Germany.”
• Judge bizarrely advocated for celebrities with diseases to stop their activism to find cures and “just shut up and suffer” so they could “accept death and the will and wisdom of God.”
• Judge wrote “it’s time to bring back hate,” in reference to Muslims.
• Judge praised conservative commentator Ann Coulter’s questioning of the 9/11 widows and criticized them.
• Judge wrote that he was “thankful that there was no social media to capture” he and his friends’ antics in high school.
• Judge’s views on masculinity are based on domination
• Judge compared marriage equality to incest and polygamy and said promiscuity by gay men “led to AIDS.”
• Judge wrote that while there “is never any excuse to rape someone,” nonetheless “what women wear and their body language also send signals about their sexuality” and “women who dress like prostitutes are also sending out signals.”
• Judge wrote that when men aren’t sure women are interested in sex, men should “allow” themselves to “feel the awesome power, the wonderful beauty, of uncontrollable male passion.”
• Judge’s high school yearbook quote: “Certain women should be struck regularly, like gongs.”
• Judge wrote a widely derided racist column about his assumption that a Black person stole his bike.
So that's a lot. And there is a lot more, including where he wrote about attending Brett Kavanaugh's wedding and reminiscing about "sexually aggressive" teenagers.
DD, since you asked no questions, but just C&P what Kavanaugh's friend Mark Judge is reputed to have said, I have nothing to answer.
If you are known by the people you hang with, the people who hang with the NOI are racist. I understand you see yourself as a 60's liberal, and would I support you if that were true. The focus of Steele's article speaks on it's own from a black man's view that what you are saying about racism today, is no longer the racism of the 60's, can't you see that?
"Why are you even asking these questions?" TB3 that you can't see this is what happening is very sad. Have the liberals and Democrats of today have no shame? One thing for sure is clear, and Steele's article points right to the heart of all of the left, they are afraid of losing power to take America further left, so there must be racism, a Conservative accused is a Conservative guilty. And to find a man guilty because of what his friend or H.S. year book said is the strongest evidence yet to support my statement that in America you are guilt as accused if you are a Conservative.
"Do you believe the seriousness of a charge is more important that the nature of the evidence supporting the charge? Or lack of evidence to support the charge?" I believe that is a rough quote of Congressman Tom Foley (D).
Dave, you responded to all 4 of my answers, fair enough, I'll let it go at that.
DD, since you asked no questions, but just C&P what Kavanaugh's friend Mark Judge is reputed to have said
Not “reputed”. Documented. It is about Kavanaugh’s friend’s character. The two buddies must have had a few things in common.
And there was a question or two for you. A non-answer is really an answer in this case.
What would a reasonable person infer when the accuser passed a lie detector test AND welcomes an investigation, knowing it would be crime to lie to the FBI, while the accused and his defenders refuse to testify and oppose an investigation? Who looks like the honest party?
Dare you give an honest answer? Yeah, we know it’s not the Republican thing to do.
Majormajor said...
Dave,
Now you have slipped into the radical leftist mode from a 60's liberal with your calling conservatives fascists..do you realize that? What high crime or misdemeanor should Trump be impeached for? Lying under oath? Hasn't. Treason? Prove it. Really you need to get over your hate, it is blinding you.
Are you sure you want to stand on "The two buddies must have had a few things in common"? Speculation is not evidence for conviction. You do know that, right? Need I remind you of the close relationship the Black Congressional Caucus has with the largest racist organization in America the NOI? Before you cry "whataboutism" re read your own words to see if that charge doesn't apply to you first. Cause it does.
Do you realize that Kavanaugh has passed lie detector tests and has been investigated by the FBI for months in order to get where he is now? Do you realize that Dr. Ford's witness are not supporting her claims? Have you forgotten the lies by Tawana Brawley and Crystal Gail Mangum that ruined the lives of innocent men? Do you remember Anita Hill's lies? Are you aware of the time line of Dr. Ford's accusations and the background of her legal team? It's not about looks, it's about the truth and Dr. Ford is unable to find witness to support her version of the truth.
The GOP agreed to impeach Nixon, the liberals didn't with Clinton. Party before country.
"opposition to consent of the governed:" Isn't that supposed to be consent of the majority? Majority rule, remember. Based on the Rasmussen Reports 71% is a majority and they don't agree with you.
Dare you give an honest answer? Yeah, we know it’s not the Dave Dubya thing to do.
"That's all I've got to say Dave, so rant on, I won't be reading." ~~ Majormajor (aka Timothy Trueblood)
Yea! Ding-dong, the witch is dead...
Remarkable points to ponder:
"The focus of Steele's article speaks on it's own from a black man's view that what you are saying about racism today, is no longer the racism of the 60's, can't you see that?"
Racism is racism is racism, Timmy, whether it's institutionalized or whether it's systemic. Can't you see this?
"One thing for sure is clear, and Steele's article points right to the heart of all of the left, they are afraid of losing power to take America further left, so there must be racism, a Conservative accused is a Conservative guilty."
The left isn't afraid of losing the power to take the nation left, it's more a case of seeing the nation being pushed more and more right -- "fascist right", to be more exact. Why can't you see this?
The racist angle you're throwing in there has nothing to do with whether Kavanaugh committed a crime when he was 17 years old or when a freshman in college, but whether a man with this type of hidden past should be considered for a lifetime appointment.
As most rational-thinking people would agree, a thorough and complete investigation and examination should be done. Otherwise, we'll never know the truth. Don't you want to know the truth?
"What high crime or misdemeanor should Trump be impeached for? Lying under oath? Hasn't. Treason? Prove it."
I thought everyone on this blog, and the abandoned blog of T. Paine, was very clear why there was an investigation by an independent counsel. Was that not clear enough for you?
"Speculation is not evidence for conviction. You do know that, right?"
Yes, I know it, and I'm certain Dave knows it. The question I have, do you know it? Again, that's the reason an investigation of the claims must be made. That way any doubts are laid to rest. Do you understand this?
I don't think you do, because your very next sentences are: "Need I remind you of the close relationship the Black Congressional Caucus has with the largest racist organization in America the NOI?"
Speculation?...or evidence? You tell me.
"The GOP agreed to impeach Nixon, the liberals didn't with Clinton. Party before country."
That's because a sexual relationship between consenting adults, although apparently an impeachable offense, wasn't deemed to be an offense worthy of conviction. Why can't you see this?
Jefferson's Guardian said...
The right has certainly turned more right, that's for sure. Although not officially classified as "fascist", neither was the government under Adolf Hitler during the early- to mid-1930s. History has deemed it so, just as I'm sure it will of the conservative government under the Trump regime -- if we survive it, of course.
Your questions, to me, seemed non-sensicle... so I asked why you were asking them. Were they supposed to be some kind of one-two set-up? I don't know what their point was. The victimhood is strong with you. You are so inconsistant. I don't care what's in his HS Year Book. Given the allegations against him, what's in the Nominee's year book gives a pretty bad appearance. I think that's enough to investigate further. What's the hurry? We lived without 9 Justices on the bench for a year after Scalia left us. You'll give an accused sexual deviant the benefit of the doubt, but others on a perceived different side of the political spectrum don't get that same accomodation. Does that also give you a rush of endorphins? The Clintons were investigated for Real Estate deals that happened years before they came into the National Spotlight, but that's ok. Let's investigate that for years and years until SOMETHING politically useful comes of it, right? But a Judge who allegedly sexually assaulted someone? He said he didn't so let's believe him and give him a lifetime appointment to the highest bench in the land. Let's investigate Benghazi for years in a naked attempt to undermine the obvious upcoming Presidential run of Clinton, but let's back a Republican Senate Candidate that has a sexual affinity for the youth. Boys will be boys, afterall. Ok. Obama's black and the father he saw all of three times in life was from Kenya so clearly, let's pretend Citizenship by Birth isn't a thing. Obama can't be American... but let's give folks like McCain and Cruz a pass on their birthplaces 'cause they have the right letter at the end of their names.
Waaaaaaaaah. Conservatives are the real victims. Pathetic. "The Left" are supposed to be the delicate snowflakes?
"Oh, did I say in less than two years, my administration has accomplished more than almost any administration in the history of our country? Mark Judge, the "other person" in the room in 1982, should have been required to testify under oath, and an FBI investigation undertaken -- both of which the shameless Republican Party was unwilling to allow to occur.
The pathetic Kavanaugh wouldn't agree to it. Like a deer in headlights, he froze. "This whole two-week effort has been a calculated and orchestrated political hit, fueled with apparent pent-up anger about President Trump and the 2016 election, fear that has been unfairly stoked about my judicial record, revenge on behalf of the Clintons and millions of dollars in money from outside left-wing opposition groups." ~~ Judge Brett Kavanaugh, September 27, 2018
Impartial jurist?...or political activist?
It seems pretty obvious.
Dave Dubya said...
JG,
Those are words of an angry partisan Republican operative. Remember when the hypocrites denounced "activist Judges"? IOKIYAR of course.
His partisan rancor and resistance to investigation prove his extreme bias. An impartial judge welcomes evidence and witnesses. This Republican operative wants to suppress evidence and witnesses. Along with abusing women, that is their authoritarian idea of making America great.
Anonymous,
"I'm funny how? I mean funny, like I'm a clown? I amuse you?"? Or funny like the UN laughing at Trump's bragging and lies?
That's OK. You don't have to explain. It would spoil the magic. Thank you.
During the testimony in front of Senate Judiciary Committee, Christine Ford identified herself as a “Research Psychologist” at the Stanford School of Medicine.
But an in-depth search through the Department of Consumer Affairs License Bureau produced absolutely NO RESULTS for Christine Blasey Ford or any deviations of her name.
Earlier this week NPR explained why they don’t call Christine Ford a doctor because they reserve the title of “Dr.” for an individual who holds a doctor of dental surgery, medicine, optometry, osteopathic medicine, pediatric medicine or veterinary medicine.
I just heard you LOL while reading that.
There are no state records that show Cristine Blasey Ford is a licensed psychologist. Is claiming you are a licensed psychologist a violation of State law?
Now there’s this:
The Christine Blasey Ford bio page on the Stanford website was altered earlier this month.
The bio page used to say Christine Blasey had the title of Research Psychologist. But Christine Ford’s Stanford bio page was revised seven (7) times this month before her testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee.
Ford’s Stanford bio page has since removed her title as “Research Psychologist.”
Testifying under oath before the Senate Judiciary Committee, Christine Blasey Ford identified herself as a ‘psychologist,’ but records indict this is a false statement under California law. Someone at Stanford University also appears to have caught the blunder and edited Ford’s faculty page.
The issue lies with the word “psychologist,” and Ford potentially misrepresenting herself and her credentials, an infraction that is taken very seriously in the psychology field as well as under California law.
To call oneself a psychologist without being licensed by a state board is the equivalent of a law school graduate calling herself a lawyer without ever taking the bar exam.
Since graduating with a PhD in educational psychology from the University of Southern California in 1996 it does not appear Ford has spent any significant amount of time outside the state. She reportedly completed an internship in Hawaii, but a search of Hawaii’s Board of Psychology licensing database also did not turn up any results for Ford.
Aside from misleading the committee, Ford also appears to have violated California law. California’s Business and Professional Code Sections 2900-2919 govern the state’s laws for practicing psychology. Section 2903 reads, “No person may engage in the practice of psychology, or represent himself or herself to be a psychologist, without a license granted under this chapter, except as otherwise provided in this chapter.” Section 2902(c) states: (c) “A person represents himself or herself to be a psychologist when the person holds himself or herself out to the public by any title or description of services incorporating the words ‘psychology,’ ‘psychological,’ ‘psychologist,’ ‘psychology consultation,’ ‘psychology consultant,’ ‘psychometry,’ ‘psychometrics’ or ‘psychometrist,’ ‘psychotherapy,’ ‘psychotherapist,’ ‘psychoanalysis,’ or ‘psychoanalyst,’ or when the person holds himself or herself out to be trained, experienced, or an expert in the field of psychology.”
This appears to include titles like “research psychologist.” As of Friday morning, Ford’s Wikipedia entry also identified her occupation as “Psychologist.” According to California law, all of these are false. Ford is not a psychologist.
If Ford committed perjury, she could face up to five years in federal prison. Unless of course she can't remember.
It's a funny thing, isn't it? Anonymous is copy and pasting gateway pundit and Alex Jones conspiracy crap, just when Majormajor is in retreat.
Must be a coincidence, amirite?
Yet, the typical bag of authoritarian tactics is plentiful here. Look at all that "Whataboutism"!
Anything to deflect, distract, dismiss, discredit, accuse and demean a victim of "Sniffles" Kavanaugh's drunken abusive behavior. All meet with utter failure when truth is known.
Licenses are not required for Research Psychologists working for California universities.
NPR doesn't say psychologists or chemists with PhD's are NOT doctors. They simply use the title for medical doctors in narrative.
Deflection failed. LOL at that!!
Say, didn't Sniffles LIE under oath about the legal drinking age? Why, yes, he did LIE under oath. And that was just one of them.
He was also a whiny little bitch playing his privileged white victim card.
Isn't it also funny how Anonymous, just like Majormajor, cannot honestly engage in points of discussion or answer questions?
Coincidence? I report. You decide.
MajorAnonymous will want to deflect and distract from this:
Bess Kalb tweeted just a few of Whiny Little Bitch Sniffles' lies under oath.
The Devil’s Triangle is a sex act between two men and one woman. It is well documented and widely known. There is no drinking game called “Devil’s Triangle.”
Renate Alumni is bragging about having been inside Renate.
Perjury is a crime.
And nobody in the history of flatulence has ever, in any civilization, referred to it as “Boofing.
Google it for the actual definition. It has to do with rectal insertions and is an outdated slang term used by frat boys I knew. This guy yelled and whined and lied about everything. Now you know.
Lying under oath is a felony. LOCK HIM UP!!! LOCK HIM UP!!!
The Party of Trump has become a party of criminals and traitors.
Any more uncredited copied material from Anonymous will be deleted. He's proving liars and moral cowards cannot fairly discuss or debate. They need to accuse, deflect, and flee from rational discourse.
Haven't we seen this behavior in someone else?
TB3 said...
Ok, MM. Go ahead and talk about that instead of the alleged sexual assault. Sure. Terrible attempt at discrediting the person. Did you bother even trying to look up the information the article you C&Ped claimed? I don't even know why I ask.
"Christine Blasey Ford identified herself as a ‘psychologist,"
Holy cow you're C&Ping Infowars. You're trying to deflect and focus on the Professors credibility by Cutting and Pasting stuff from a group of psychotics who literally peddle conspiracies? Pathetic. I hold out hope that one day you'll actually live and exercise the beliefs and Faith you proport to hold rather than wearing it like a badge or wielding it like a cudgel when it's convenient to your persona.
Thank you. I didn't know Bess was also an expert on events over 30 years ago. She is certainly aware of what's going on today too. Very smart gal.
IOKIYAR. "Sniffles" Kavanaugh is as Republican as they come.
Jefferson's Guardian said...
Gee, Dave, maybe I'll try that tactic the next time I'm interviewed.
Truth be told, though, I'm on the other side of the table now. I'll make a point of hiring those who claim to love beer -- and also bring their 36 year-old calendars to show me. They're primo employees, apparently.
LOL
Kavanaugh's a sick f#@k. A serial-rapist, probably. But, I'm convinced, they'll ramrod hm through.
Last week a Senator who employed a Chinese spy for 20 years while sitting on the intel committee, a Senator that groped a friend, a Senator who said "men need to shut up", and a Senator who lied about serving in Vietnam got to question Kavanaugh's integrity.
Sounds like typical leftist hypocrisy.
I believe MATT DAMON was right when he said that we are currently living in a “culture of outrage and injury,” and that allegations of sexual misconduct need to be analyzed individually, rather than under one large umbrella. I believe when he said that comparing someone like Franken (or Kavanaugh), who’s been accused of groping and improper advances by multiple women, to someone like Weinstein, who faces allegations of rape, sexual assault, and other sexual misconduct dating back decades, is the wrong thing to do is correct. Damon has a terrible track record when it comes to supporting accused sexual abusers. Like Casey Affleck.
I believe to accuse someone a liar without evidence to support the claim, based only because the accuser disagrees with a person's political position, is hypocritical and a sure sign of a group think mindset, and is deplorable.
Was Dr. Ford lying when she said she was afraid of flying and needed five days to get to DC for the hearings? While under oath, Rachel Mitchell uncovered that Ford flies frequently for business and pleasure.
No.
Dr. Ford says she doesn't know how the Washington Post got the name of her therapist.
The Washington Post says she gave it to them.
Who is telling the truth?
Dave Dubya said...
Anon: comparing someone like Franken (or Kavanaugh),
Damon didn't include Kavanaugh with Franken. Kavanaugh's violent criminal sexual assault would be more comparable to Weinstein criminal behavior. Nothing Franken did could be described as attempted rape.
MajorAnonymous,
Pretzel logic again. You offered no evidence, no quotes, and no point.
"Criminal sexual conduct", is defined as any act committed only by conservative that is needed by the left to destroy them..regardless of the evidence.
