HITLER SEES PEACE 'BY COMMON SENSE'; Would Supplant League System With New One 'Based on Reason and Justice.'
BERLIN,
Aug. 6. -- Chancellor Adolf Hitler believes that a general European war can be
averted "by common sense," and he is also convinced that a new peace
system "based on reason and justice" must supplant the League of
Nations.
Meanwhile
in 21st Century USA, a little news:
The Daily Beast, August 25, 2025
Three weeks into his federal takeover in Washington D.C., the president signed new executive orders tasking Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth to establish “specialized units” in the National Guard to assist officers in the city, and potentially across the country, to quell civil disturbances and boost public safety “whenever the circumstances necessitate.”
“Freedom. Freedom. He's a dictator," Trump paraphrased those opposed to military occupation. "A lot of people are saying maybe we’d like a dictator,” Trump told reporters.
“I don’t like a dictator. I’m not a dictator. I’m a man with common sense and a very smart person.”
Trump’s executive order also authorizes Attorney General Pam Bondi to unwind metropolitan police orders in D.C. if she believes they are impeding the administration’s crackdown.
In
addition, federal agencies will be given more power to surge officers into the
capital, potentially adding to the thousands of troops that have already been
deployed.

Trump's "Common Sense" = “Specialized Units” = America's Schutzstaffel (SS)
Trump proudly
showing off his gift photo from Putin a week after praising him and greeting
him with a red carpet, and days before saying, “I don’t like a dictator."
Right.
Just ask Kim Jong Don:
And also today, August 25, 2025:
South
Korean President Lee Jae Myung knows how Trump’s fondness for dictators gets easily
played in the Oval Office. “I look forward to your meeting with the chairman
Kim Jong-un and construction of a Trump Tower in North Korea and playing golf
at that place.”
Of course this clever trolling went completely over Trump's ego-swelled "very smart" head.

August 26, 2025 Update:
Indicted and convicted criminal Trump: "The line is that I'm a dictator, but I
stop crime. So a lot of people say, 'You know, if that's the case, I'd rather
have a dictator.'"
Trump on deploying the National Guard to Chicago:
"I have the right to do anything I want to do. I'm the president of the
United States."

The very smart "stable genius" gets played by foreign heads of state and bloody dictators all the time because he has the intelligence of lawn furniture.
It is easy to make a fool of an idiot like Trump.
Shaw,
While intelligent people can mock and manipulate him, tragically Trump still has a cult of the most stupid and gullible dupes who believe he's wise and his words are their gospel.
Now the same idiots will be at greater risk of food-borne illness, now that Trump is gutting the CDC's oversight of it.
They're too stupid to understand Trump's message to all of us essentially, "Eat shit and die".
Dave... "Specialized units"?
Since FEMA, then led by Mike "Heck of a Job Brownie" Brown failed miserably in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, the US has worked to improve the organization. And while still not perfect, because no org ever is, they've done mostly great work in the years since.
Just ask the great majority of people served by FEMA after disaster strikes.
Now however, even that "specialized unit" is in danger of being gutted and turned into a Trump "specialized unit". It's been reported that recently more than 150 FEMA employees sent a letter to the Trump Admin saying recent budget cuts will hamper FEMA response in the event of a disaster.
The great majority of those employees chose to remain anonymous for fear of retaliation from the Admin for sharing their opinions about what was happening. More than 20 employees however chose to sign their names.
Those 20 employees have now been put on leave, subject to termination for airing views critical of administration actions.
Simply for voicing their opinion about a government action that could lead to tragedy for American citizens in the event of a natural disaster.
Our entire government is in danger of becoming a specialized Trump unit.
Trump is following the "Dictator's Handbook" all the way. His fanatic supporters are unwilling to consider the fact their beloved Felonious Fuhrer doesn't give a damn about them, let alone the rest of the country.
I left this little guide over at the Stench Trench. It seems to have annoyed them.

Fascism n.
A philosophy or system of government that advocates or exercises a dictatorship of the extreme right, typically through the merging of state and business leadership, together with an ideology of belligerent nationalism. -
Characterized by militarism, brutal law enforcement, harsh punishment, fanatic loyalty to the leader, marginalizing and scapegoating minorities, along with suppressing representative democracy, a free press, free speech, dissent, and human rights.
Communism/fascism = government ownership/control of manufacturing.
Trump attacked chip maker Intel CEO, Lip-Bu Tan, and demanded he resign and got what he wanted: The federal government will purchase a 10 percent stake in the company for $20 a share, about $5 less than the current value.
Communism/fascism = demonizing minorities and disenfranchising them from a political voice.
Trump ordered Texas to gerrymander 5 House seats from minorities.
Communism/fascism = demonizing political opponents, educators, critics, and journalists as the “enemies of the people”.
Trump does this every day.
Communism/fascism = secret police
Trump sends thousands of masked agents to abduct people without warrants and lock them in camps without due process.
Communism/fascism = military occupation of civilian areas.
Trump orders the National Guard to occupy Washington DC and threatens to send them into ONLY blue state cities, despite higher crime rates in red state cities.
Communism/fascism = central control of elections.
Trump orders states to end mail-in voting, demanding elections to be decided on ONE day.
Communism/fascism = a government that dictates what public schools and universities may teach, what medical research is done, what museums can display, and whom law firms may represent.
Communism/fascism = criminal authoritarian dictatorship under one person.
Convicted felon and serial sex offender Trump claims power over all branches of government,
Trump's MAGA Cult CHEERS for ALL of these authoritarian acts of tyranny.
Just don't call them fascists or neo-Nazis.
As always, I WELCOME any information that would indicate I am mistaken, misinformed or flawed in my reasoning. Please set me straight. Here is a handy and simple format to make it easier for anyone to offer their reasoned refutation.
“Dave, I have to say you are stating falsehoods by claiming (_____) and (_______). These verifiable facts and evidence (_____) and (____) suggest you are quite mistaken.”
What a dictator would say:
“Freedom. Freedom. He's a dictator," Trump paraphrased those opposed to military occupation. "A lot of people are saying maybe we’d like a dictator,” Trump told reporters.
Indicted and convicted criminal Trump: "The line is that I'm a dictator, but I stop crime. So a lot of people say, 'You know, if that's the case, I'd rather have a dictator.'"
Trump on deploying the National Guard to Chicago: "I have the right to do anything I want to do. I'm the president of the United States."
As it relates to FEMA, it gets worse.
Let's say a hurricane, earthquake or fire wipes out your house. You of course have evacuated on a moments notice, as did ppl in the recent So Cal fires. You grabbed your kids, the dog, your computer, wallets and cash, jumped in the car and ran.
For your lives.
You come back after a day or so and see you have literally lost everything, as have some of my friends still sifting ashes for stuff in Pasadena.
Did you get your birth certificate? Maybe. Your passport? Maybe. Because if not, until you can get replacements, and prove your citizenship, you may not be able to access any aid for FEMA or groups like Samaritan's Purse that accept federal funds.
All aid, according to a new Trump Admin proposal, will now require proof of citiizenship before it can be dispensed. And if you are a citizen but it was lost in the fire, flood or earthquake, tough crap for you.
Until you get the new info.
Great job Trump.
FEMA... now a Trump "Special unit".
Dave,
The national nightmare of Trumpism is the ultimate con-servative dream come true. They are finally dismantling our Constitutional taxes, regulation of commerce and provision for the general welfare. They are corrupting our elections to cement their one-party rule.
THEIR Constitution requires only a Second Amendment, and soon enough that will apply only to Trump loyalists.
Regarding the Second Amendment... recall that Governor Reagan of California signed the Mulford Act to limit the ability of citizens to carry firearms in the Capitol area.
The reason?
All of a sudden the Black Panthers decided that as citizens, those laws included them. Once that was done, the GOP did away with easy carry and even possession of firearms.
Dave,
Reagan would certainly be labeled a "RINO" by today's Republican fascists. He supported the Brady Bill and assault weapons ban and said, "I do not believe in taking away the right of the citizen for sporting, for hunting and so forth, or for home defense. But I do believe that an AK-47, a machine gun, is not a sporting weapon or needed for defense of a home."
Anything factual (truthful) seems to annoy the regulars at The Stench Trench of Delusion.
And yet... here we are. More weapons in homes of Americans, many assault style weapons, than there are people in America.
But we're good. Plenty of thoughts and prayers when needed. Right?
