A Sports Metaphor

First we saw smiles and hand clapping. Then we saw an orange face turn red. And we saw another smiling face, wilting at the realization of  an imminent tantrum.

Something tells me America has one less baseball fan.

Maybe he was expecting his “Mussolini balcony” moment at a World Series game.

Maybe he was expecting a hero’s welcome, (after betraying Kudish allies). He certainly didn’t credit them for their help in the war on ISIS and the mission to kill their leader.

Maybe he didn’t understand there was a good proportion of immigrants down on that field.

What the Big MAGAt didn’t expect was the most spectacular strikeout in baseball history.

First there was the banner that read, “Impeach Trump”.

Strike one!

Then the chorus of thousands booing him.

Strike two!

Finally the chants, “Lock him up! Lock him up!”

Strike three! Yer out!

What he heard was the voice of the people instead of his cult.

There’s nothing like an unscripted, spontaneous, and very audible, poll. The Big MAGAt had to have felt that in his “perfect gut”.

"Lock him up!"

This is what we should be chanting in the streets until he's gone.

I've never been a big fan of baseball. However I just became a big fan of baseball fans.

God bless America's baseball fans!

I look forward to the next outing he schedules that puts him in an uncontrolled environment where he can't rely on a bunch of imported Red Hats to stroke and inflate his ego.

I'm already seeing our President's fans saying the stadium was packed with Leftists. Rather than conform to reality, right, we're just going to dismiss the entire spectacle as a conspiracy.

But, hey, maybe this will be a learning moment for our President? All those times he led chants of 'Lock her up!', having it turned on him in such a spectacular way... surely he has come to understand how awful that is for the target of such ire? Right?

Right. Cue the JTFs distracting, deflection and whataboutism. WHATABOUT KATIE HILL, THOUGH? YOU KNOW THAT REPRESENTATIVE NO ONE ON THE RIGHT EVER HEARD OF UNTIL SHE DID SOMETHING WE CAN GESTICULATE TO AS HYPICRITCAL!?

TB3,

I can tell you what their script will be.

It wasn't that loud. It was only a small group of evil Leftists, and besides, DC fans are all part of the "swamp". No Republicans live in DC. They were booing the immigrant chef who tossed the first pitch.

That should about cover it.

I look forward to JTF's dutiful deflection, distraction and dismissal. First those black "sons of bitches" ruined football. Now I bet he hates baseball. It's for losers.

Funny how there are more and more people they have to hate. It must be exhausting.

That's the best you can do? If so, Trump in a land slide in 2020!

Just the Facts! said...

Rev. Dave, what's there to deflect from, you said it all "It wasn't that loud. It was only a small group of evil Leftists". Thanks for posting just the fact just once.

Dave Dubya said...

Anonymous,
Wow. Trump will win if that's the best I can do? You've given me a lot of responsibility, and good reason to improve. So I'll get the credit when Trump goes down? Can't argue with that logic.

JTF,
You're quite welcome. And thank you, for quoting my draft of your script. And thank you for not deflecting, AND for confirming my prediction.

You're a peach, apart from your rude innuendo, insinuations, and insults regarding TB3. As someone who's been there, I'm sure he would prefer you discuss the matter at hand than make it all about him. It can't be easy carrying all that anger and resentment. And it couldn't be easy seeing your dear leader so publicly humiliated that he had to leave earlier than planned.

So apart from that, how did you like the game?

"That's the best you can do? If so, Trump in a land slide in 2020!" - "Not JTF"

That's precious.

"You're a peach, apart from your rude innuendo, insinuations, and insults regarding TB3." - DD

Compassionate conservatism.

"As someone who's been there, I'm sure he would prefer you discuss the matter at hand than make it all about him." - DD

I'd prefer that they actually learn about a topic before cut & pasting regurgitated garbage.

"And it couldn't be easy seeing your dear leader so publicly humiliated that he had to leave earlier than planned." - DD

Of course it's easy when you glibly dismiss thousands of people expressing their first amendment rights as "a few leftists". There's no need for internal reflection or reconsideration of opinions when one can simply contrive a reality that best fits one's flawed interpretation of that reality. Th JTFs of the world NEED their antagonists and NEED to express themselves as constantly under attack... otherwise all that energy would need to go into actually thinking about the awful things that their "team" is doing.

Dave Dubya said...

TB3,
Indeed, "JTFs of the world NEED their antagonists and NEED to express themselves as constantly under attack".

Their very identity depends on who they hate, and their precious, never ending supply of victim cards validates their identity.

Say, not a peep from JTF about that game. Is he pouting and shunning America's pastime?

TB3 said...

It's got to be tiring trying to recall what to hate and shun because one disagrees with the other's political "beliefs". They hate Baseball now for the booing the President received. They hate NFL for the kneeling. They hate NBA for bowing to capitalism. They hate actors and celebrities (at least the "left" ones) for voicing their opinions and making jokes at the President's expense. They hate nepotism (Just not Trump's). They hate corruption (just not Trump's and the Administration's). They hate people who put country over party. They hate a Scandanavian teenager for advocating for dealing with climate change. They hate the Squad. They hate the very concept of the Green New Deal for reasons. They hate BLM. They hate Anti-Fascists. I know there has to be more. It's hard for me to keep up, so it must be hard for these folks who hate expending energy to learn things to keep track of them all.

TB3....one name you forgot was James T. Hodgkinson, now there's hate.

TB3 said...

"TB3....one name you forgot was James T. Hodgkinson, now there's hate" - JTF

Did I? Though James T. Hodgkinson is an interesting and excellent example for increased focus on gun control policies. A man who had police at his home a number of times over a period of years. A man accused of domestic violence. A man cited for randomly firing his weapon at trees in his neighborhood. Had a gun license. There's an example of failure in responsible gun ownership with James T. Hodgkinson.

Oh, and you don't want to admit it, but there was bipartisan outrage over that incident. Your response is a failure in false equivilancy.

"Per Rev. Dave, if you disagree with liberalism you are a gullible fool, dupe, racist, and bigot." - JTF

Yeah? That's your takeaway? Not that you present yourself as a gullible fool, dupe, racist, and a bigot? I mean, if a person says and does stupid things, I don't think it's unreasonable for another person to come to the conclusion that the person is stupid. If it bothers you so much, perhaps you should take into consideration your words and point of view. Come to terms with what you say, either change your views or accept what you are perceived to be. Jesus, you even point fingers and deflect when you make the subject about yourself.

Dave Dubya said...

JTF,

Nonsense.

One doesn't need to be "a gullible fool, dupe, racist, AND bigot". You can be in the Trump Cult if you're any one of those. McCain wasn't, and he disagreed with liberalism. He was simply an authoritarian. But he had some class and basic human decency that nobody in the Trump Cult has.

Dave Dubya said...

TB3,

As the meme says: The liberal plot to make Republicans look stupid, also known as "Operation Just Let Them Speak", is working splendidly.

Just the Facts! said...

More whining from Rev Dave, and yes TB3 that is my take away cause it's what the Rev has been posting here for 3 years,,,get woke TB3. Note how Rev Dave deflects once his original post is exposed for being the SOS.

And so I'm not accused of not answering a question, yes TB3 you forgot about James T. Hodgkinson. I would post daily here the examples of the hate of the Left, but Rev. Dave like as he has in the past will not post. Or you could search for them yourself, something I doubt you would ever do.

BTW, let the record show, it was not me who deflected from the topic of this thread, IE: baseball (the FACT is Rev. Dave has not published my one post about the game that answered his question, go figure), it was Rev Dave and his one reader TB3 who have gone down the hate for anyone not as extreme liberal as they. As usual.

"get woke TB3" - JTF

Noted. Not going to address your incessant need to not be called things when you're activing acting like those things? Also noted.

"Note how Rev Dave deflects once his original post is exposed for being the SOS." - JTF

What exactly was exposed? You addressed a comment from the comments section of the original post, you haven't actually commented on the article Dave posted itself.

"And so I'm not accused of not answering a question, yes TB3 you forgot about James T. Hodgkinson." - JTF

Perhaps I was being too glib. Your invocation of Hodgkinson is an obvious use of Whataboutism and deflection. Since you mention this person as a response to my comment, the insinuation (and what makes this whataboutism) is that there's also hateful people on the "Left". Your attempt at whataboutism fails, because both sides of the political spectrum universally condemned the actions of that individual. I am well informed about Hodgkinson, so I will pass on combing through Dave's blog looking for you typically off-topic comments. If it's that important that you back up your claims with this evidence you've previously posted, than you can direct me to the posts in question yourself. I imagine it's not that important to you.

"BTW, let the record show, it was not me who deflected from the topic of this thread, IE: baseball (the FACT is Rev. Dave has not published my one post about the game that answered his question, go figure)" - JTF

Yet he allowed this comment to come through. Maybe follow his rules and it'll be published? I'm looking forward to a lively Game 7, I hope you are too.

"it was Rev Dave and his one reader TB3 who have gone down the hate for anyone not as extreme liberal as they. As usual." - JTF

1) It's nice of you to actually admit you don't read what Dave writes.

2) Just because I do not drink the Orange kool-aid, JTF, does not make me an "extreme liberal". Were you actually interested in having a civil discourse on politics, this would be clear to you. Or maybe it wouldn't be. Since you probably couldn't provide me a consistant definition for liberal.

TB3

Today's hate from the LEFT:

Ilhan Omar Refuses To Recognize Armenian Genocide

Interesting how the ‘activist’ has a problem recognizing genocides committed by her buddies.

But she did vote present.

Dave Dubya said...

Among many other deflections JTF is outraged, outraged I tell you, about Omar's "present" vote.

For some reason he sees no hate by voting "nay" on the resolution. (Only republicans voted nay.)

Would JTF like to explain why Omar gets damned for voting present, while ELEVEN Republicans voted Nay?

Could it be IOKIYAR? I think JTF just proved republicans are more hateful.

"Operation Just Let Them Speak" is working splendidly.

Dave Dubya said...

Republican Paul Gosar also voted "present". Eleven republicans voted "nay".

Wow. Crickets from JTF on this. That would be 13 hateful Republican reps by JTF's standard.

Or does he have a double standards?

Dave Dubya said...

TB3,

JTF can’t comprehend this isn’t his forum to post his long list of grievances and alleged victimization of white nationalists sporting Trump hats etc. I have edited out such repetitious and unsourced far Right copy and pasting, as well as his personal ad hominem attacks. (Yes that’s hate speech).

His whining and complaining "crickets" were loudly screeching about his vast collection of resentments, but did not addressed the issues under discussion.

Wow, crickets LOL! You simply don’t publish what I send you and then claim crickets... Is TB3 going to claim “whataboutism”? Doubt it because you can not publish this as it would expose the fact that you ARE not posting other the examples that I sent you as you have led him to believe... Nor have you or TB3 denounced ANTIFA or the racism of the Nation of Islam. More examples of Hate and racism of the Left... How do you explain that twice you haven’t published my request for an apology for TB3’s slanderous comments about my fathers service during WWII? Guess it just highlights more of the true character of the Hate filled Left and you Rev Dave. Were those requests racist, or hate speech? Laughable.

It appears he also sees his late father as a victim. It never ends does it?

I especially like his wild basis for falsely accusing us of “hate and racism”, which also constitutes more hate speech.

That would make you and me the real victims of hate speech. How about that? Where, oh, where do we get to whine about our victimhood and persecution? I feel like a stupid bigoted white guy now.

TB3 said...

Oh, diving back into the 'YOU HAVEN'T DENOUNCED RANDOM BOOGEYPERSON THE "RIGHT" BLOGOSPHERE HAS TOLD ME IS BAD' play call again, huh? I don't think ANTIFA or NoI field a MLB team. Funny how this reminds me of a comment I made earlier in this comment thread about all the things the JTFs of the world have to remember to hate. It still boggles my mind that they hate people who hate Fascism.

"How do you explain that twice you haven’t published my request for an apology for TB3’s slanderous comments about my fathers service during WWII?" JTF by way of DD

You're not getting one. There. You can stop asking/demanding/feeling entitled to one. Not believing you about your father fighting in all 3 theaters of WW2 in the last year of the war isn't slander towards your father. Slander, like Liberal, has a fluid definition to you doesn't it? Doesn't it get tiring playing the victim all the time? It is playing, afterall. You're choosing to be like this. You don't see me getting all butt hurt 'cause you insinuated that I didn't even know my father. It's because I do not care about your vain attempts at attacking me personally. That's just confirmation that you have nothing to refute or counter the points you are told to hate and fight. I'm not even sure why I am still typing, if you even started reading this comment you stopped at Oh.

Dave Dubya said...

"It still boggles my mind that they hate people who hate Fascism."

Yes, because they really do take it personally. I'm not kidding when I say they are not that different from Nazis. Hitler relentlessly played his victim card against Jews, socialists, liberals, unions, the press and educators. Not much different at all.

American fascists don't acknowledge the "N" for Nationalist in the NAZI acronym. This selective ignorance makes hating socialism much easier.

Adolescent name calling. When you have nothing else and refuse to consider the possibility that you're wrong, call someone a name. That'll show them how wrong they are, by golly.

Dave Dubya said...

You can't tell them they are uninformed, mistaken, wrong, dishonest, or anything. They are long indoctrinated to fear, distrust and hate liberals, the press, educators, and science.

They feel threatened by intelligent people who may know what they don't know. They flock to authoritarian leaders to instill and defend their beliefs.

So what else can they do or say?

Name calling, false accusations, whataboutism, dishonesty, deflections, distractions, demonization, dismissal, denial, etc. are what they call a "market place of ideas".

I wonder if JTF could offer a reasoned rebuttal to the professor's analysis?....LOL!
