Exonerated? Hell, No.

As the Deep State Turns.

Mrs. Betty Bowers understands:

MAGA CULT YESTERDAY: "The Mueller investigation is a corrupt, biased witch hunt that will only produce lies! The FBI is a cabal of criminals."

MAGA CULT TODAY: "The Mueller investigation is a 100% reliable search for the truth. God bless the FBI."

First some facts:

The Mueller investigation resulted in indictments for more than three dozen individuals for a variety of crimes, including top Trump campaign officials and members of Russian intelligence.

Among the indicted and guilty pleas are Trump’s inner circle cronies: former campaign adviser George Papadopoulos, former campaign chair Paul Manafort, former deputy campaign chair Rick Gates, former national security adviser Michael Flynn, former personal attorney Michael Cohen, and his longtime adviser Roger Stone.

All of these crooks and liars helped Trump deceive America about their cozy alliance with Russia, the Trump Tower Moscow deal, and cover-up of Trump’s campaign finance felony. The rot at the core of this corruption and collusion is within their white nationalist, pro-Putin, leader.

American authoritarians and their Russian allies are now cackling with delight that Putin’s Puppet has been "totally exonerated".

Never mind this detail: "While this report does not conclude that the President committed a crime, it also does not exonerate him."

So, what? Putin's Puppet joins O.J. Simpson in being "totally exonerated", amirite?

Meanwhile the Tangerine Tyrant and his angry mob want to punish Hillary for no crime at all.

There was no obstruction found when Lynch met Bill Clinton.

There were no indictments for Hillary's deleted emails or use of a private server. BTW IOKIYAR for Trump's crew to use private emails for public policy.

Hillary’s email debacle drew no charges, hurt no one, and helped no adversary. Yet Trumpists still chant, "lock her up", don't they?

They remain, and will always be, furious with hate. Over what?

Nothing.

So what doesn’t bother them? Putin’s puppet humiliated our nation in Helsinki by siding with Putin over US Intelligence. He betrayed our country, and allowed Putin more unobstructed interference in our elections.

No problem. That’s just all part of “making America great”.

"But her EMAILS!!!"

What about them? No secrets were passed on to Russians, like Trump did in the Oval Office after boasting about firing Comey to stop the investigation.

Just more betrayal.

"Russia, if you're listening..." WAS collusion.

The Trump Tower meeting with Russian agents WAS collusion.

Firing Comey to shut down the investigation WAS obstruction. Only Trump loyalist Barr, not Mueller, made the decision it wasn't obstruction.

Speaking of emails...

This is what collusion looks like:

Good morning

Emin just called and asked me to contact you with something very interesting.

The Crown prosecutor of Russia met with his father Aras this morning and in their meeting offered to provide the Trump campaign with some official documents and information that would incriminate Hillary and her dealings with Russia and would be very useful to your father.

This is obviously very high level and sensitive information but is part of Russia and its government's support for Mr. Trump - helped along by Aras and Emin.

What do you think is the best way to handle this information and would you be able to speak to Emin about it directly?

I can also send this info to your father via Rhona, but it is ultra sensitive so wanted to send to you first.

Thanks Rob I appreciate that. I am on the road at the moment but perhaps I just speak to Emin first. Seems we have some time and if it's what you say I love it especially later in the summer. Could we do a call first thing next week when I am back?

Emin asked that I schedule a meeting with you and The Russian government attorney who is flying over from Moscow for this Thursday.

I believe you are aware of the meeting - and so wondered if 3pm or later on Thursday works for you?

I assume it would be at your office.

It will be fascinating to hear what Mueller has to tell the House committees, won't it? I mean apart from, "It also does not exonerate him."

dave,

As an "old-fashioned American citizen", aren't you happy that Mueller has proved President Trump is not a puppet of Putin?

Q: Mueller indicted which member of President Trump's family?
A: NONE.

Give it up leftists, you've been exposed for what you really are.
Anti borders, pro abortion after birth, 70% tax rates, change the rules if you lose, treasonous globalist anti Americans, anti constitutional crazies.

Nice recap of the obvious conspiratorial exchanges between Trump family and higher-level campaign officials. It would seem Trumpists have short memories or suffer wanton ignorance. Maybe both.

That's the strategy, Tim. It's a foregone conclusion getting a conviction on this mobster will not work with the usual methods due to a complicit G.O.P.

They'll nail his ass once the new Democratic president finishes her or his oath of office in January 2021.

Helsinki alone proved everything about Putin's puppet. "Russia, if you're listening" and the Trump Tower meeting with Russian agents confirm it.

And Mueller issued how many indictments were issued on this hard evidence?

The same number of Russians it takes to cause HRC to lose an election..
ZERO

YOU GOT NOTHING and are either too stupid to realize that are just flat out blind.

Give it up, along with the Obama Intel were wrong.

This from the socialist who didn't vote for HRC.

Mueller didn't indict Trump because it is against DOJ policy to indict a sitting president.

Too bad, it only proves the tragic flaw in our system when a leader is above the law.

Mueller knows and reported "it also does not exonerate him." Someone seems too stupid or flat out blind to miss this.

Hell, Bush and Cheney proved they could get away with a war of aggression based on lies. Their crimes make Trump look like a two-bit conman cheating old ladies for his Russian pal.

This country has become a tragic and sad mockery of justice and democracy.

"Got nothing"?

Blinded by his hate and cult loyalty, JTF didn't see this part either:

Among the indicted and guilty pleas are Trump’s inner circle cronies: former campaign adviser George Papadopoulos, former campaign chair Paul Manafort, former deputy campaign chair Rick Gates, former national security adviser Michael Flynn, former personal attorney Michael Cohen, and his longtime adviser Roger Stone.

All of them lied about contacts with Russians to protect Trump, which was a part of his successful obstruction of justice...so far.

I'm glad you brought this up, Dave, because it's a VERY important aspect of the two different crimes the report addresses -- conspiracy and obstruction of justice.

Republicans are under the spell of making the logical fallacy that since Mueller's Report did not find any evidence of collusion ("conspiracy"), then, by conclusion, there could not be any obstruction of justice.

Not true. Let's turn this around and see the problem with their failed logic.

If the crime of obstruction of justice were committed, which Mueller's Report indicates cannot be ruled out (i.e. Trump was not exonerated of this crime), and Trump's obstruction was successful, then this could very well be the reason that no evidence of collusion ("conspiracy") was ever discovered.

Vern, unlike you I never learned the foreign language of "Stupid". Since it's your native tongue, help me out a bit. ;-)

What are you trying to say?

S.D.N.Y. -- it's the real deal. Remember this, Vern. It's what keeps the Trump crime family awake at night.

Dave Dubya said...

JG,
So far, justice has certainly been obstructed for the Trump crime family. Collusion by the Trump campaign was certain.

Poor Vern's got nothing to say since Trump is not exonerated, so he's throwing all his cult C.R.A.P. against the wall and hoping something sticks.

"Open Borders, abortion after birth, black face governors, and socialism". Yada, yada.

Yawn.

Say, you know what I learned?

I learned Mueller has "big time conflicts of interest" and can't be trusted. So we have that, and the bias of Barr, who qualified for the job by opposing the investigation.

Say, whatever happened to that "Deep State", anyway?

Maybe Vern's seen it somewhere under his bed.

LOLOL Poor baby. Waaaaa! LOL

"Say, whatever happened to that 'Deep State', anyway? Maybe Vern's seen it somewhere under his bed."

Or maybe he should check his closet? Vern (and T. Paine) always found boogey-men there. LOL

So now Trump's on another one of his "the press is the enemy of the people" Twitter tirades.

Unlike Fox News and Vern, nobody else would parrot Trump's whopper of a lie that he's been totally exonerated.

Now everyone is - except Fox News and Vern, of course - "the enemy of people".

What a douche-bag.

Besides indictments over lies about contacts with Russians, all we have is what Barr says is in Mueller's report. How long will we wait until we can see the whole thing? What will they conceal?

Sounds like the DoJ is promising to make a "public version available within weeks". You can bet it'll be an anorexic version of the original.

No mention of the April 2nd deadline to provide the full version, less redaction, to Congress.

Don't hold your breath.

Dave and Jeff, I see that you guys have the right wingnut JTF all riled up again.I love it, just keep nailing him with the facts. SDNY, SDNY, SDNY will hopefully nail some of the Trump crime family, Don Jr, Ivanka, Kushner etc.

Dave Dubya said...

Let's not forget there is no Mueller Report available to the public. All we see is the Barr whitewash.

It’s only more fitting. The Palmer Report gives due credit to both partners in the ongoing cover-up of the Mueller Report.

”The Trump-Barr coverup of the Mueller report is already unraveling in real time”

...Team Trump’s first mistake was that the Barr summary was too cartoonishly glowing in Donald Trump’s favor to be plausible. This gave House Democrats leverage when it came to convincing the public that the real Mueller report be released. Now the media is finally starting to back off from its initial claims that the Barr summary was the Mueller report, and the media is calling for the real report to be released.

This has sent Donald Trump’s people scrambling, to the point that they can’t get their message straight. For instance Trump’s close ally Lindsey Graham, who has been positioning himself as some kind of de facto publicist for Barr this week, told a gang of reporters today that Barr is going to let the Trump White House redact any parts of the Mueller report that it considers to be covered under executive privilege, and then release it. This set off an immediate firestorm, because it’s obvious that Trump could simply redact all the parts that make him look bad.

Sure enough, just about an hour later, an unnamed DOJ official told NBC News that Barr won’t be letting the Trump White House see the Mueller report before it’s released. Oops. If Barr’s plan was to secretly let Trump whitewash the Mueller report before releasing it, then Graham just blew it by publicly talking about it. This has forced the DOJ to publicly commit to the position of not giving it to Trump, and it’s set up a brewing scandal about whether the DOJ might still try to secretly slip the report to Trump before releasing it.

The more convoluted this coverup becomes for Team Trump, the more they have to backtrack, and the more they have to publicly address the details of what they are or aren’t doing to cover it up, the more of a firestorm this becomes. We’re only 48 hours into Team Trump’s attempt at burying the Mueller report, and it’s already unraveling for them in real time. At this rate, the Trump-Barr coverup could quickly become Trump’s most problematic scandal to date.

Jefferson's Guardian said...

Have you ever noticed that every major scandal requiring a special prosecutor, congressional investigation, or special counsel has always been - less Bill Clinton's blow job - about investigating a Republican president or administration?

This highlights very clearly the authoritarian nature of Republican personalities and their overall rejection of democratic rule and processes.

Jefferson's Guardian said...

"...SDNY will hopefully nail some of the Trump crime family, Don Jr, Ivanka, Kushner etc." ~~ U.P Tim

That's the plan, Tim. There are very serious charges -- so many of the state statutory variety that could never be pardoned by a sitting president.

Trump crime family members will be greeted with "going-away baskets" filled with RICO and RICO-like indictments once the mobster-in-chief is out of office - most probably in January 2021.

These are strange and dark days in our nation's over 200 years of existence, that history will show was the first time a Mafiya member (boss?) was concurrently a sitting president.

Very strange days, indeed.

Jefferson's Guardian said...

"In deciding that Trump didn’t obstruct justice after a paltry 48 hours of review, Barr 'concluded that the evidence developed during the Special Counsel’s investigation is not sufficient to establish that the President committed an obstruction-of-justice offense.' He came to this conclusion — in spite of saying during his confirmation hearings that what Trump is known to have done amounts to obstruction — because Mueller found that 'the evidence does not establish that the President was involved in an underlying crime related to Russian election interference.'

That’s not the crime that, the evidence quite clearly shows, Trump may have committed. This is not the crime that Manafort appears to have lied about in hopes of getting a pardon.

In giving Trump the all-clear on obstruction charges, Barr appears not to have considered whether Trump obstructed the actual crime in question. He instead considered whether the president obstructed a different crime. This is the legal sleight of hand that has allowed Barr to proclaim that Trump will not be charged.

The Democratic-controlled House Judiciary Committee now has abundant reason to get all the underlying materials from the Mueller inquiry, because the attorney general just cleared the president of something he agreed constituted a crime just a few months ago.
