Hate Fest, Litmus Test

Yee haw, it’s time once again for our gala annual hate fest, and litmus test, for Right Wing extremism. Ladies and gentlemen, I present the Conservative Political Action Conference. (CPAC)

Yes it’s time for “real Americans” to fire up the old “two minute hate” machinery for a week. Time to whip up misinformation, stir up some paranoia, and pour out a heap a old-fashioned Right Wing fear and loathing of their fellow Americans; those evil America haters who’d rather not see money as free speech, corporations as super persons, Wall Street as master of government, and anonymous Big Money interests buying elections.

How dare those sniveling socialists stand in the way of aristocrats, theocrats and autocrats having their God-given, money bought, rightful, and complete power over the media, the economy, the elections, and their government?

Step right up and feel the anger, the rage, and fury of our courageous guardians of wealth and power. Sense the righteous outrage of the noble and brave protectors of the privileged. Bask in the mercies and compassion of our most oppressed minority, as we hear their woeful tales of persecution.

Congressman Allen West: “[T]he public good is a misnomer, created by our liberal friends. It is not the public good that matters, it is the personal good."

Cal Thomas: “Well I’m really glad, Genevieve, that you played the Rachel Maddow clip, because I think that she is the best argument in favor of her parents using contraception.”

Ann Coulter; “Democrats are like your degenerate brother-in-law who borrows money for rent, spends it on crack and hookers, then asks for rent money again.”

Wayne LaPierre executive vice president of the National Rifle Association: "All that first term, lip service to gun owners is just part of a massive Obama conspiracy to deceive voters and hide his true intentions to destroy the Second Amendment during his second term.”

Victoria Jackson: former SNL cast member, reacting to Occupy DC protesters: “They’re communists, and they’re angry.”

Don’t be fooled by those liberals and their “public good” crap folks. They're like crackheads, and the best argument in favor of their parents using contraception. They’re communist degenerates out to take your shootin’ irons from your cold dead fingers.

And thems the NICE things we got to say bout them treasonous commies.

Think back on the controversy of school prayer, the posting of the 10 Commandments and the phrases "In God We Trust" and "One nation under God" that has so upset those left of center. And then what they would replace the above with:

Where is the outrage from the left? Other than towards the poor spelling in this?

Well in fairness to Republicans a lot of Democrat policy deserves to be feared and loathed.

Defend that comment from her.

You always accuse Republicans of not having a sense of humor and then when they crack a joke here comes the faux indignation. So lame. THE most annoying thing about liberals is when they get their little panties in a wad - fresh from defending tax dollars funding feces art no less - about a joke Ann Coulter cracks. Alec Baldwin can joke about killing George Bush and it's hilarious satire but oooooooh let a hateful Conservative joke about killing the NY Times... oh the OUTRAGE!

Lame. Pick your vagina off the ground, get over it. You sound like my 14 year old daughter when some mean girl at school calls her a name. Do what I tell her, buck the fuck up princess. Everybody isn't going to like you in this world.

Really?

To avoid being mistaken for a sellout,I chose my friends carefully. The more politically active black students. The foreign students. The Chicanos. The Marxist Professors and the structural feminists and punk-rock performance poets. We smoked cigarettes and wore leather jackets. At night,in the dorms,we discussed neocolonialism,Franz Fanon,Eurocentrism, and patriarchy.

Barack Obama, "Dreams From My Father."

Gee, wonder why they'd get nervous with quotes like that.

Guns? Would you really deny that the Democrat Party wants stronger gun control?

From the Democrat Party Website-

We will protect Americans’ Second Amendment right to own firearms, and we will keep guns out of the hands of criminals and terrorists by fighting gun crime, reauthorizing the assault weapons ban, and closing the gun show loophole, as President Bush proposed and failed to do

Yeah, they'll "protect" gun rights by banning "assault weapons." You know assault weapons Barack Obama classified in his Illinois gun legislation... my Remington 700 dear rifle because it holds more than 5 bullets.

Never mind he freely admits he wants my AR-15. And oh yeah, do the words Fast and Furious mean anything to you?

Eric Holder trying to frame gun dealers... nah no reason to be nervous there!

And as for health care, would you deny YOU would LOVE to see a National Health Service like Canada and England have?

Yup, didn't think so.

No it isn't. Point wasn't about Baldwin, point was about you. You thought it was funny when Baldwin (Or Bill Maher... or... well the list is quite long) joked about a dead GWB. You didn't give a rats ass. But OH MY GOD when Coulter jokes about killing the NY Times. That's the double standard. YOU. As for me? I could care less about what jokes any of them tell. Thats because I'm a grown up and I got over feigned overly dramatic outrage when I was about 13 years old.

And the "Most Paranoid Right Winger Award" goes to the man who claims Obama "wants my AR-15".

He does. He calls it "Common sense gun control." He's said over and over he supports renewing the assault weapons Brady ban. That's my AR 15. And by his definition my Mossberg 500 shotgun and my hunting rifle.

They hold too many bullets you know.

You thought it was funny

Never heard it, how could I think it was funny? Now you’re off in fantasy land... Or you can’t help from lying. Above all you need to keep on distracting, but instead you only reinforce my post by foaming up your hatred for Baldwin and Maher, and that Marxist, structural feminist, Chicano, punk rock performance artist Obama.

You are lost in more than fantasy land, make that paranoid fantasy land. Obama doesn’t want your gun, or mine. The ban was for new sales. The ban will not come back. You are paranoid. Confiscation was NEVER an issue. Nope. It is not, it has not and it will not...Except in the fearful minds of paranoid sociopaths, perhaps. You’re lucky you don’t have that Bible to cling to as well as your guns. That only increases the paranoia to where good conservatives think Obama may just be the anti-Christ.

Underneath all that bluster and tough guy bravado we sense the thinly suppressed fear and hate for Obama the Marxist coming after your AR-15. Your reptilian brain betrays your fear and anger. That part of the brain was studied and found to be more active in Righties, you know. Sadly you are not free enough to overcome the inner fear and anger seething within your reptilian brain. This could explain why you enjoy killing people too. Killing is the ultimate venting for fear and anger.

Your reptilian brain urges you to lie and distract and puff up with the tough guy talk, to say and do anything to prevail. It is your authoritarian nature.

I’ll make you a deal. If Obama takes your precious phallic weaponry from you, I’ll give you one of my semi-autos. You see, he’s not after mine.

Just the Facts! said...

Just the Facts, just a honest conservative urges you to join with him and non conservative JG in not voting for Obama this NOV because:

Obama's key priorities, outlined in his State of the Union address last month and in the American Jobs Act he proposed in September. Those include initiatives in manufacturing, energy production, education and training, and infrastructure repair. YET, Obama has not not signed the KEYSTONE PIPE LINE agreement with Canada, who instead has signed with China.
The effect of his action with not decrease our unemployment nor will it improve our energy production.

Obama's Affordable Health Care Act will NOT reduce the cost of health care to Americans. In fact Massachusetts Institute of Technology economist Jonathan Gruber, is backtracking on an analysis he provided the White House in support of the 2010 Affordable Care Act, informing officials in three states that the price of insurance premiums will dramatically increase under the reforms. Gruber, whom the Obama administration hired to provide an independent analysis of reforms, was widely criticized for failing to disclose the conflict of interest created by $392,600 in no-bid contracts the Department of Health and Human Services awarded him while he was advising the president’s policy advisers.

Obama has wasted billions of our dollars that could have been spent on repair of our infrastructure. He spent the billions on corporations that were to lead us to green energy, but failed not only to do as promised, but to even stay in business. A classic form of corporate cronyism, as it has now been discovered that the CEO's of these corporations poured dollars back into the billion dollar Obama campaign war chest.

Obama said if he couldn't get the unemployment rate under 8% by NOV 2012, he wasn't deserving of another 4 years. I say he isn't if by Nov this PEW poll doesn't improve for the youth of our Nation. Example of area needing improvement. 24% of those polled between the ages of 18 and 34 have moved back in with their parents.

You see DD, Right Wing Conservatives CAN agree with Left Wing Liberals. And this post did not call anyone a name, it simply stated a position and then supported same with examples of why the position was taken. I am sure there are many other reasons JG will not be voting for Obama this year, but I will ask him to speak for himself..This would be a great time for others to share why they are not voting for Obama with out resorting to birther theories.

DD, what you have missed was my attempt to show a non hate filled conservative, vs the on going concept that conservatives are hate filled, and radical.
As for JG, I thought and still do think, that to find a common thread between he and I was worth sharing.

Having said all of that, would I be incorrect in defining your mission, your goal on your blog, is to come up with a subject line or example that portrays conservatives in a manner or light that can not be defended?

There again you and I have communicated with out any bomb throwing, name calling or stereotyping of anyone. But we still disagree on 99.9% of of our political views.

Dave Dubya said...

Just the FOX(R),

I would think a real attempt to show a non hate filled conservative would be for one to denounce the hateful lies at CPAC. Bashing Obama may have its place, but it does nothing to address the lies and hate that are the subject of my post.

As for my blog’s “mission”, this is what I put up front:

I am an old-fashioned American citizen who believes in our traditional values of freedom, truth, and justice. When I see our laws and government subverted and twisted into service of the undemocratic, powerful, corporate oligarchy, I must react with a patriotic defense of our values. I strongly oppose the ongoing destruction of what is left of American democracy and shall give voice to our common cause of freedom.

Hey Dubya, I see you are still mindlessly bashing conservative American principles.

As serious as the obama administration's attempt to infringe the First Amendment rights of Catholics may be, it is just a smokescreen to distract attention from your god-king's attempts to push through five treaties. Three of the five will seriously curtail U.S. interests and sovereignty. The first will surrender our right to go to war without U.N. approval. Of course China and Russia will be able to veto any war we try to declare. The second will untimately force federal regulation and registration of small arms AND ammunition in order for us to comply. And the third will seriously limit our ability to explore and drill offshore and will damage the "evil corporations" that attempt to improve our energy independence.

Remember, the Second Amendment was written to prevent the government from infringing on the First Amendment.

Keep fighting the good fight!

I see you join the voices over in the paranoid corner. I don’t like bad treaties either. The treaties we needed to worry about have already done their damage. Both parties are to blame for them. Any treaty ratified will be what Big Money wants. The politicians are only following their masters’ wishes.

And fear not, we shall always be at war. Masters wishes shall be followed. Military industrial complex corporations, as well as energy, mining, pharmaceutical, insurance and finance industries will always be taken care of by our politicians. I promise.

I’m with you in keeping, not only the First and Second Amendments, but all of our Bill of Rights. Both major parties, again, are the major threats, not so much treaties with Russia and China. Those will undermine our economy more than the Constitution.

Well, that's my moral position anyway. And here I thought that would be yours, too.

FandB said...

The opposition to the obamacare rule regarding abortifacients and birth control is in reality all about the government's attack on Freedom of Religion, i.e. the First Amendment.

First, they came for the Catholics...

Whether you agree with Catholic doctrine or not, even you should agree that infringement on First Amendment Rights should not be accepted or even tolerated.

It was good, however, to see the Catholic Bishops put obama and his minions on notice that the Church would not obey his "unjust law".

Dave Dubya said...

F&B,
I certainly do oppose infringement of First Amendment Rights when I see it. I have a hard time seeing it in this case.

government's attack on Freedom of Religion is quite a bit of exaggeration. Is someone’s right to freely worship denied, or suppressed? No. Does this reach into the church itself and have a negative or controlling effect on it members? Hardly.

It is more about a church imposing its values on non-members. Values that most members don’t even share. If anything, shouldn’t the real benefit of fewer abortions be considered?

First, they came for the Catholics... Has one Catholic been taken into custody over this? Has one been harmed or physically restrained? No. They are not coming for the Catholics. I can understand their disagreement with the policy. There will always be someone offended, but that is the worst of it.

I see no great, or even slight, harm to anyone or real infringement on First Amendment Rights. It’s no worse than asking a Rabbi to eat at Red Lobster. He doesn’t have to eat the shellfish.

I can assure you this is the least of the threats to our Bill of Rights.

Government does not get to decide when people are properly following their religion's teachings, and therefore decide if it's okay to intrude.

Do you see how easy it is for you to rationalize taking away other people's rights? And you call the right Fascist...

"It is more about a church imposing its values on non-members. Values that most members don’t even share."

The Catholic Church has no power to impose anything, particularly on non-members. The government, on the other hand, has plenty of power to impose, which we've just seen from the Obama Administration.

I treasure my freedom, I don't like risking loosing it by letting government have much power over much of anything, as historically that doesn't end well and I heard somewhere those who don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it.

As for Obama's stance on the gun control issue, I simply take him at his word. This is not a secret. Obama has been very open on his stance on gun control from day one. The government is not imposing the USE of birth control on Catholics. It is requiring that insurance companies pay for birth control, even when it is not prescribed expressly for birth control but for other health issues also,as part of preventive care coverage.

The Heathen Republican said...

Jerry, the Catholic Church is a very large employer. As an employer, they pay a portion of an employee's health insurance. The government is imposing on them to pay for birth control, which violates the church's teaching.

I think it's a stupid teaching, but I believe in freedom of religion even though I'm personally an atheist. Catholic Church employees can purchase their own birth control and don't have to get it through their health insurance.

Until Obama requires it, of course. Why is there a "right" to having health insurance cover the cost of birth control when it's freely available from a pharmacy or gas station?

free0352 said...

It's a no-brain'er to give Catholic funded insurance an opt-out. Heck, the Obama Administration has already issued about 222 (actual figure) waivers for ObamaCare. Unions got them, many companies got them. Why not Catholic businesses.

It's against their religion to fund that stuff. The government lets people out of stuff for religious reasons all the time. The military lets some Rabbis keep their beards when everyone else has to shave, the Amish don't pay taxes or go to high school, and Quakers get out of the draft. Why not let Catholics get a waiver. Yeah I know not every single solitary Catholic is super devout and many get ABORTIONS let alone use rubbers and eat birth control pills- but many do NOT. Why make them do something outside their conscience when we give breaks to Unions just because they give fat campaign checks to Democrats?

Jerry Critter said...

It is part of the "free" preventive coverage. Many if not most employees of catholic businesses are not catholic. Why should catholic principles be imposed on them? The church itself is exempt from this rule.

I am more concerned with people's religious freedom and not having catholic principles forced on them. Plus, preventing unwanted pregnancies and illnesses benefits all of us and lowers health care costs.

The Catholic Church has no power to impose anything, particularly on non-members.

Not even the power to protect child molesters? Look at the history of the Church, man. And we're to fall into the trap of buying this minor flap as an outrage against freedom of religion?

The Church was against the invasion of Iraq and is against capital punishment, but will do business with companies that profit from those transgressions of church policy. They just draw the line at birth control...for some reason.

Even if insurance won't cover birth contol for employees of Catholic businesses, I wouldn't fly off into such a tizzy as the offended prudes do at the least significant thing.

The fact of the matter is not one Catholic has lost his First Amendment Rights, or any other.

Where government gets off telling people what they their insurance carriers should and shouldn't cover is beyond me. If you don't like it, don't work there. It's too easy to say two magic words- I quit. Go work for most companies who would be excited to have a woman working for them they don't have to worry will be taking like 5 months of maternity leave any time soon.

Look, your party wrote this monstrosity of one size fits all legislation and now you act shocked it't not going to fit for 300 million Americans. You made this mess, now it has to be cleaned up. We had to opt the Unions out and John Deer and now some Catholics are going to have to be exempt from paying for something they see as a sin. I certainly do oppose infringement of First Amendment Rights when I see it. I have a hard time seeing it in this case. ==> That only means you’re not looking hard enough, or your blinders are still on.

government's attack on Freedom of Religion is quite a bit of exaggeration. Is someone’s right to freely worship denied, or suppressed? No. Does this reach into the church itself and have a negative or controlling effect on it members? Hardly. ==> Actually, Yes and Yes. The government is telling Catholics that they cannot worship, which includes keeping the Word of God, as they see fit, the government is going to set limits.

It is more about a church imposing its values on non-members. Values that most members don’t even share. If anything, shouldn’t the real benefit of fewer abortions be considered? ==> Abortifacients cause abortions to occur and they are to be covered under this plan. The Catholic Church pretty much equates artificial birth control and artificial abortions. The Church does sanction some methods of natural birth control.

First, they came for the Catholics... Has one Catholic been taken into custody over this? Has one been harmed or physically restrained? No. They are not coming for the Catholics. I can understand their disagreement with the policy. There will always be someone offended, but that is the worst of it. ==> No one yet, as far as I know, however the Catholic Church has stated they will not obey this unjust law. That means they will be fined. If and when they refuse to pay the fines, will someone go to jail? Only time will tell. Catholics are being warned now that this might occur, but the Bishops are not backing down.

I see no great, or even slight, harm to anyone or real infringement on First Amendment Rights. It’s no worse than asking a Rabbi to eat at Red Lobster. He doesn’t have to eat the shellfish. ==> I disagree, it is not like that at all. It is exactly like telling a Catholic that he/she has to pay someone to kill an innocent, unborn child.

I can assure you this is the least of the threats to our Bill of Rights. ==> No, not the least of the threats, but most certainly one of many that are being pushed by the obama regime.

@Jerry Critter – the Catholic Church does sanction birth control methods when they are used to correct or prevent a serious health issue.

@okjimm – ah, yes, correcting the threat to the gene pool – that is exactly the issue that Planned Parenthood was founded to address. In fact, some of the comments written by the founders of PP will send chills up your spine, eugenics aimed primarily at sterilization of blacks and others they believed to be inferior. *shudder*

So, George Soros, Al Gore, Fred Eychaner, Anne Earhart, Steve Bing and so on are competing parasites?

Norquist inherited great wealth and makes big money as a lobbyist and political hitman. He's never served his country in or out of uniform. Norquist has never produced a product or service of value to any but the rich and selfish in his highly regrettable life. I doubt he's ever done an honest day's productive work. I doubt he'd last a month in one of the Koch brothers' toilet paper plants, if the job required physical labor and completing assigned tasks in a set amount of time — as opposed to acting the big shot and shooting his mouth off.

Far more than those he loves to bash, Norquist himself fits the definition of a parasite.

Dave Dubya said...

Free,
The point is clear. Are teen girls hated and demonized as much as liberals?

Scapegoating rhetoric usually comes first. Victimization follows.

Study history. You don't even have to go back to the Third Reich.

Start with the Unitarian Church murders in Knoxville Tennessee. I suppose the relatives were overly dramatic teen girls after the Reich Wing, Hannity and O'Really-inspired hater shot their family members.

Police found books and material in Jim David Adkisson’s home by Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Michael Savage, and Bill O’Reilly

He refers to the book about 100 People Who Are Screwing Up America by Bernard Goldberg. Here are some excerpts from his “manifesto”.

“Lately I’ve been feeling helpless in our war on terrorism. But I realized I could engage the terrorists’ allies here in America. The best allies they’ve got. The Democrats! The democrats have done everything they can do to tie our hands in this War on Terror. They’re all a bunch of traitors. They want America to loose this war for reasons I can not understand. It makes me soooo mad!”

“The worst problem America faces today is Liberalism...Liberals have attacked every major institution that made America great. From the Boy Scouts to the Military, from education to Religion. The major news outlets have become the propaganda arm of the Democrat Party. Liberals are evil, they embrace the tenets of Karl Marx, they’re Marxist, socialist, communists.”

Gee, wherever could he have picked up on such lies and hate?

His "final solution" was to kill liberals. There are more like him being brainwashed every day.

Fascists hate Jews and Liberals. No question. Whether it’s a “lousy shooting” or a lousy holocaust, the hate is the same.

That is the point. Get it?

Those Unitarians are just as dead from American fascism as Jews from Nazis. Their murders mean nothing to you. In fact you, and all your fellow extremists, share the same hate behind it.

The list is growing and the hate continues.

-- October 2008: Two neo-Nazis are arrested in Tennessee in a plot to murder dozens of African-Americans, culminating in the assassination of President Obama.

-- December 2008: A pair of "Patriot" movement radicals -- the father-son team of Bruce and Joshua Turnidge, who wanted "to attack the political infrastructure" -- threaten a bank in Woodburn, Oregon, with a bomb in the hopes of extorting money that would end their financial difficulties, for which they blamed the government. Instead, the bomb goes off and kills two police officers. The men eventually are convicted and sentenced to death for the crime.

-- January 2009: A white supremacist named Keith Luke embarks on a killing rampage in Brockton, Mass., raping and wounding a black woman and killing her sister, then killing a homeless man before being captured by police as he is en route to a Jewish community center.

-- February 2009: A Marine named Kody Brittingham is arrested and charged with plotting to assassinate President Obama. Brittingham also collected white-supremacist material.

-- April 2009: A white supremacist named Richard Poplawski opens fire on three Pittsburgh police officers who come to his house on a domestic-violence call and kills all three, because he believed President Obama intended to take away the guns of white citizens like himself.

-- April 2009: Another gunman in Okaloosa County, Florida, similarly fearful of Obama's purported gun-grabbing plans, kills two deputies when they come to arrest him in a domestic-violence matter, then is killed himself in a shootout with police.

-- May 2009: A "sovereign citizen" named Scott Roeder walks into a church in Wichita, Kansas, and assassinates abortion provider Dr. George Tiller.

-- June 2009: A Holocaust denier and right-wing tax protester named James Von Brunn opens fire at the Holocaust Museum, killing a security guard.

-- March 2010: Seven militiamen from the Hutaree Militia in Michigan and Ohio are arrested and charged with plotting to assassinate local police officers with the intent of sparking a new civil war.

-- March 2010: An anti-government extremist named John Patrick Bedell walks into the Pentagon and opens fire, wounding two officers before he is himself shot dead.

-- July 2010: Inspired by Glenn Beck, an agitated right-winger and convict named Byron Williams loads up on weapons and drives to the Bay Area intent on attacking the offices of the Tides Foundation and the ACLU, but is intercepted by state patrolmen and engages them in a shootout and armed standoff in which two officers and Williams are wounded.

-- January 2011: A backpack bomb with the potential of killing or injuring dozens of people is found along the route of a Martin Luther King Day “unity march” in downtown Spokane.

Go tell the families they’re drama queens.

The time to wake up is BEFORE people get put in ovens, before the next slaughter. Nobody is waiting for your attention because you don’t care. Human life means little to you.

You are a sociopath. If ordered to shoot liberals, say under martial law, I fully believe you would.

That fear and anger inside of you indicates you may be one mental breakdown from doing it on your own.

The Daily Caller has been devastating Media Matters for America all week long.
Yesterday, they dropped some of their biggest bombshells yet regarding the organization’s tax records. Among their findings:

Media Matters and its 501(c)(4) affiliate, Media Matters action, took in almost $15 million last year. That makes it a monster in the nonprofit world. Its cash comes mainly from large donors – its top 21 donors provided over 50% of its total contributions.
David Brock, the allegedly psychotic drug-using leader of the group, paid himself nearly $300,000 last year, putting him squarely in the 1% in terms of income, while Eric Boehlert took in nearly $120,000 for following around Andrew Breitbart (and, according to Greg Gutfeld, having fun with lotion).
Media Matters is working in close tandem with Center for American Progress, even splitting fundraising with them – and as we’ve seen, both Brock and John Podesta, head of CAP, work closely with the Obama Administation.
Media Matters funded the parent group of former “green czar” Van Jones, which is surely one of the best-funded groups run by a communist on the planet.
In 2011, Media Matters paid $1 million just for its rent. No wonder they’re fine with President Obama’s spendthrift ways.
Media Matters took in over $600,000 for use on gun control issues, even as Brock’s bodyguard carried around a handgun to protect him from phantom attackers (he probably should have been wielding Klonopin instead).

Media Matters’ donors have to be wondering if they’re getting their money’s worth from this organization. If they’re not, they certainly should be.

F&B,
There’s no such thing as the “democrat party”. You would sound more literate and less a ditto-head if you knew this.

We remember the hate for Nancy Pelosi to be unprecedented. Waters must rate high on the hate list as well.

An honest person would provide the quote of the target of their hate. “They are bringing down this country, destroying this country, because they’d rather do whatever they can do destroy this president rather than for the good of this country.”

Seems accurate to me. The Right’s obstruction of policies they themselves advocated is proof of that.

The murder of Dr. Tiller was by someone “not valuing human life”. Abortion may be right, and wrong, from certain perspectives, but it is a woman’s legal right. Murder is hate and a crime.

Thank you for proving me correct.

Evidence was provided. How many liberals have gone on killing sprees?
--

Thanks to the Anonymous troll for providing a great example of a favorite target of Right Wing hate, Media Matters.

Why the hate? The reason is found in Media Matters own words:

“Media Matters works daily to notify activists, journalists, pundits and the general public about instances of misinformation, providing them with the resources to rebut false claims and to take direct action against offending media institutions.”

They hate MM because they blow the lid off the “liberal media” Big Lie of the Right, the 2006 study of Sunday talk show guests that found that they overwhelmingly lean conservative being but one example.

A sane perspective can be read here:

http://www.salon.com/2012/02/16/the_right_is_attacking_media_matters_because_it_matters/singleton/

The Daily Caller's heavy breathing "expose" is light on facts

Among the more than half-dozen articles and blog posts the Daily Caller has written in its “Inside Media Matters” series, there is little in the way of actual substance.

Fox News psychiatrist Keith Ablow claimed Brock is “dangerous” because he was adopted, and Alan Dershowitz — a hardline supporter of Israel’s government who once advocated for bulldozing entire Palestinian villages –thoughtfully likened the group to “Neo-Nazis” who could cost Obama the election due to publishing blog posts critical of Israel.

“Neo Nazis”...for being critical of Israel...

There they go again.

Awwwwww Okijim... no one cares.

Fascists hate Jews and Liberals.

Hmmmmm yes, but Republicans aren't fascists (neither are Libertarians) ... at least a lot of Jews don't think so. The only voting block Democrats are loosing faster than the Jewish vote is the Catholic vote. If you can't tell the difference between a Nazi and a Republican... well your powers of observation and discrimination are comically lacking. Ever hear of Goowin's Law. You just proved it... again. So lame. You dug up a handful of crimes and compared them to the fucking holocaust. I'm supposed to dignify that? Lol, um, no. I've seen authentic mass graves. The closest thing you've ever come to that in your very safe, very provided for, and very 1% compared to most of the world life is... what exactly? Did you get stuffed in a locker in the 3rd grade?

Lame. You going to come up with an argument any time soon or are we getting closer to screaming about nuclear aluminum tubes yet?

Considering the sociopathic tendencies you've exhibited, I'm not too sure I can trust your willingness to disobey rules of engagement that would allow you to shoot me.

You dug up a handful of crimes and compared them to the fucking holocaust. I'm supposed to dignify that?

There you go projecting again. YOU “compared them to the fucking holocaust”, not I.

I referred to the radical Right emulating Nazis by calling their pro-democracy opposition communists, and truthfully pointed out deaths resulted from the hatred of both American radical Rightists, and Nazis.

Invoke “Goowin” all you want. My points remain true.

Republicans are not fascists? No, not all of them. The problem is, too many of their brainwashed cultists embrace the hate, as we’ve proven here. Too many are infected with the kind of lethal hatred exemplified by fascists. And Republicans tacitly allow, or actively spread the hate.

Again, my point stands.

Dave, I get it. You're another sheep who can't tell the difference between wolves and sheep dogs.

Makes sense, you are after all a hippie. As Col Grossman (guy from my link) says... denial is your strategy.

Anywhoo, if there ever is real authentic totalitarianism in this country, I'm pretty sure you won't be staring at the barrel of my rifle... you'll be staring at my back if you come out of your hiding place long enough to see while I shoot the actual fascist.

Just like the hippie social workers who were equally self satisfied and self righteous would hide behind me when I was a warrant officer and court bailiff and we ran into an angry felon... or even an angry dog.

I found it amusing. Seriously, go read the link and try not to baaaah so much.

I'm also a pretty good judge of cons, psychotics, and sociopaths...in and out of uniform.

There's your first clue.

Dave Dubya said...

I just have to add a paragraph from your simplistic article.

If you have no capacity for violence then you are a healthy productive citizen: a sheep. If you have a capacity for violence and no empathy for your fellow citizens, then you have defined an aggressive sociopath--a wolf. But what if you have a capacity for violence, and a deep love for your fellow citizens? Then you are a sheepdog, a warrior, someone who is walking the hero’s path. Someone who can walk into the heart of darkness, into the universal human phobia, and walk out unscathed.

Ever wonder what impression of those three you give?

There's your second clue.

FandB said...

Dubya asked in a post above: "How many liberals have gone on killing sprees?" ==> While some studies have shown that a high percentage of serial killers express conservative ideas or associate themselves with the republican party, it is by no means 100%. In fact, some of the worst have been democrats, e.g. Charles Manson, Jeffrey Dahmer, John Wayne Gayce...

As a newbie to this blog, there certainly appears to be MUCH more hate coming from the left leaning participants than the right.

And, the hate coming from the left is usually tied up in fabrications of the positions or comments made by others, i.e. straw men, which are used as the basis of the subsequent hate-filled comments. But this isn't just on this blog, this is common to the way most people on the left structure their arguments. It's the Alinsky way.

The responses posted here, if anything, disprove your argument about hate coming from the right.

Only radical right hates.

Charles Koch, his brother and employees have in recent months been getting death threats, hundreds of obscenity-laced hate messages, and harassment from some far left-wing groups, Koch said on Thursday.

“We are under attack from various directions, both with threats of violence against us personally, and with threats of attacks on our businesses,” Charles Koch said Thursday, in a phone interview from his office in Wichita.

Koch, the billionaire head of Koch Industries, rarely gives interviews, especially about the various political causes that he and his brother David support. The privately held company rarely releases information about its activities.

On Thursday, Charles Koch authorized employees to reveal the contents of hundreds of e-mails that the Kochs and employees have received in the last year, some of them containing death threats. “I hope you all DIE,” one e-mail, received last year, said. “You people are ruining our country, and all for $$$.” “Choose your expiration Date, Brothers…” said another. “The Koch brothers will DIE!!!!!” said another.

There were hundreds more — some from Wisconsin, where the Kochs were accused of aiding Gov. Scott Walker in his disputes against unions. Most of them were signed with what appear to be real names, many contained obscenities, and some Koch employees said these messages had made them nervous.

Wichita Eagle

to be continued.

Just the Facts! said...

Holden, the Koch Industries general counsel, disputed many nationally aired accusations against the Kochs. Holden claimed that some politicians, including some connected to the Obama administration, have harassed the company and wrongly accused it of various nefarious activities. Holden charged that the accusations are designed to scare people into giving money to Obama’s re-election campaign and other causes.

Holden went down a list of what he said were falsehoods laid at the door of the Kochs:

The Kochs hate the Environmental Protection Agency, violate the law, and don’t want to preserve the environment, according to bloggers. “The fact is that Koch Industries works with the EPA every day, and has been given more than 450 environmental health and safety awards by the EPA and other government and corporations since Obama became president,” Holden said. In addition, Holden said: “The accusations about the environment, by the way, overlook the fact that the Koch family and Koch employees drink the same water and breathe the same air as everyone else.” They all have a stake in preserving the environment, he said.

• Austan Goolsbee, one of Obama’s senior economic advisers, in a 2010 speech implied that Koch Industries doesn’t pay corporate income taxes, Holden said. This was not only false, Holden said, but raised questions in the minds of some Republican members of Congress about whether a government official was dealing improperly with tax information that by law is supposed to be confidential. There is a federal investigation, Holden said.

• Bloggers and the Sierra Club have repeatedly tried to tie Koch Industries to the Keystone Pipeline, which if ever completed would send oil from Canada to refineries in Texas. Koch Industries filed an application for intervenor status with the National Energy Board in Canada to receive information about the case. Koch has no financial interest in the Keystone pipeline, Holden said, but this has not stopped Rep. Henry Waxman of California from threatening publicly to demand that Koch Industries testify about the company’s role.

“Testify about what?” Holden said. “We have never had any financial interest at all in the pipeline.”

• Common Cause and bloggers several months ago criticized the Kochs and two conservative members of the U.S. Supreme Court, saying that Justices Antonin Scalia and Clarence Thomas had improperly attended Koch-sponsored seminars in Palm Springs about limited government and public policy issues. Critics said that they should not have attended because they were deciding the Citizens United case, the one that up-ended longtime government rules about campaign spending.

Thomas showed up at the seminar in 2008 to give a talk about his autobiography, and Scalia gave a lecture the next year about the topic of international law, Holden said.

• Some national news outlets picked up and broadcast that the Kochs were underwriting much of Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker’s efforts to take on and diminish the unions in that state. Koch Industries owns a couple of Georgia-Pacific properties up there, which contributed more than $40,000 to Scott Walker’s 2010 campaign, Holden said, adding that it was not much of a stake in a dispute that cost all sides millions.

The liberals' hatred for conservatives is irrelevant. If we stay on the path the left desires we will end up like Greece.

When you take from Peter to pay Paul, you'll always have the support of Paul. Greece has too many Pauls and not enough Peters. The U.S. is rapidly approaching a similar condition.

Why shouldn't the rich and corporations pay as well? If our situation is that desperate, why shouldn't the rich pay their previous meager few percent more of their share? Why should corporations get away with paying no income tax? They use our roads and infrastructure and legal system. They rely on the public services from our police and fire departments.

Why do you want the Middle class to bear the burden so the elites can have even more than they'll ever need or spend?

How can you say there's a financial crisis if they don't need to help?

Your "nanny state in place of hard work and personal responsibility" is a dishonest and false dichotomy.

It is radical Right mischaracterization of liberalism.

There are evil, cold-blooded men out there who seem quite happy killing others, and have no sense of remorse. They’d do it again.

I know what kind of man they are. They are sociopaths.

I know some of them.

What kind of man is this troll?

What is the target of his hate and contempt? Contempt for criminals? Hatred of injustice, cruelty, and violent crime?

No, His hate and contempt are for those who are charged with standing between violent, dangerous criminals and the safety of the public.

This hateful troll has contempt for our brothers and sisters brutally killed and injured in the line of duty. No doubt he has some of that hate and contempt for public employee union police officers as well.

Is this troll as wacked out as the Hutari Militia? If so, he is one dangerous hateful maniac.

We all know sociopaths hate cops and corrections officers. He could be imagining public employee union police officers, sent by Obama, coming to take his guns.

This guy could have his eye scoped on a Unitarian Church this very moment.

It’s not hard to see how all that hate will drive an angry man to violence. It gets brutal. And I’ve seen more than my share of those who commit such violence.

Are these “conservative values”? No. This is radical Right Wing extremism.

DD,

Your question "Why shouldn't the rich and corporations pay as well?" implies the subject of the sentence are not paying taxes now. That is not the truth, when 48% of Americans do not owe the Feds on April 15th any taxes. Somebody has to be paying the taxes and every report shows the top 1% of Americans already pay 60% of the Federal budget.

"Why do you want the Middle class to bear the burden so the elites can have even more than they'll ever need or spend?" First of all, I do not see it as the place of any government to have the power to determine how much money anyone needs. That is taking away our liberty. I don't want the middle class to pay more, or the top 1%. I want the Federal Govt to stop spending so much of our kids and grand kids future. Examples will be provided if requested.

"NAFTA and every other "free trade" agreement has resulted in the loss of American manufacturing jobs."
Let's recall please that it was Bill Clinton, the most popular Democrat President since FDR who signed the treaty. It could be argued, that NAFTA was the spring board for the growth of mfg jobs in China, not Mexico as your statement implies. Also remember it was Clinton who allowed American technology to be sold to China.

I wonder if you beleive the sole reason for mfg going to China is NAFTA?

I believe that the only sector left for Labor Unions to grow in, (after they have provided the force behind MUCH need reform laws!)is in the public sector labor force. Which FDR was 100% against. The shame is the way Obama is preventing private sector jobs from growing in favor of the public sector, in order to gain favor with the Unions and their support $$$.

If you would please think about answering the following.

It has been established that you work in the corrections system.

This may not be a good question because I do not know what state you live in, but what % of the inmates in your institution would you say are illegals?

Is it fair for felons to be prevented from voting?

In your experience, would the occupants of your institution vote for more liberal or conservative causes?

Just the Facts! said...

"The government has the power to determine minimum wage and set standards for poverty levels." I agree that they do have this power, but I do not agree that they should have this power.

"How do we pay down the debt or operate a government without taxes?"
To quote you,"Do you have problems with focusing on things? Maybe you have attention deficit disorder or dyslexia." I never said do away with taxes, far from that. If you recall posts form other posts I have argued that those who now pay NO federal income tax should be required to pay at least a min amount every year. Just $10.00 a year would be a start. IE: increase the base of income for the Govt with out increasing the take from those already paying the bill.
Stop ALL budget increases for 5 years while trying this plan and sees what the results would be on the debt.

"Private sector jobs are growing and public sector jobs are disappearing." I do not agree with your statement. But isn't it a good thing if this is really happening?

I meant "illegal immigrants" and since I do not know where you work I can not look it up.

"I wouldn’t allow violent felons firearms. Would you?" No, you and I agree 100%. I realize it sucks, but that is the choice they made when they did the crime.

Voting, not sure what to say about that. My fear is a child abuser if they survivor their stay in prison, could vote to reduce laws against child abuse. That's just an example not only reason.

"Non-violent felons would be a different consideration." I agree with you 100% and with the stipulations you added you added of parole, etc.

Please tell me what questions of yours that I really didn't answer.

Dave Dubya said...

Just The FOX(R),

I see you made some effort and typed a few words. Good. You didn’t really answer any of my questions. You did offer incorrect information though.

Your question "Why shouldn't the rich and corporations pay as well?" implies the subject of the sentence are not paying taxes now.

In fact some corporations pay zero income tax.

You dishonestly or perhaps more unwittingly, say it implies something while disregarding the context of the sentences immediately after it.

Do you have problems with focusing on things? Maybe you have attention deficit disorder or dyslexia.

government to have the power to determine how much money anyone needs. That is taking away our liberty.

Does the government tell you how much money you need?

The government has the power to determine minimum wage and set standards for poverty levels. It has power to collect taxes. None of these take away liberty in the sense of violating our Bill of Rights.

I want the Federal Govt to stop spending so much of our kids and grand kids future

This is the most reasonable and honest point you make. I would even agree this is a problem. I happen to think paying taxes AND cutting spending are the only sane approaches to the problem. How do we pay down the debt or operate a government without taxes?

I’ve always said Clinton, corpo-dems and Republicans share the blame for our mess.

Obama is preventing private sector jobs from growing in favor of the public sector.

In fact, the opposite of this is true. Private sector jobs are growing and public sector jobs are disappearing. Where do you get your information?

Since you politely said, “please”, I’ll answer your questions about prisoners.

what % of the inmates in your institution would you say are illegals

100% of them are there by being convicted for illegal actions. If you mean illegal immigrants, I don’t know the percentage. They often go to other facilities. I’m sure you can look that up easily.

I do know the percentage of illegal immigrants in prison is dropping.

http://www.nytimes.com/2007/05/30/business/30leonside.html

Is it fair for felons to be prevented from voting?

That’s a fair question. Do you mean while serving, or after serving, their sentence?

This depends on whether you think they have paid their debt to society by serving their sentence. I see no problem with letting them vote after they served their time and passed parole. If they straighten out and get a job, pay taxes, and stay out of trouble, why not let them vote? Only two states allow incarcerated people to vote.

Another question along those lines; is it also fair to deny felons the right to firearms?

I wouldn’t allow violent felons firearms. Would you?

Non-violent felons would be a different consideration.

As for voting, I would guess the vast majority of them never voted, and show no interest in voting, anyway. I don't see a great deal of liberal v. conservative mentality there. Civic-mindedness probably wasn’t very high on their priority list to begin with.

Although both Democrats and Republicans are in prison for corruption and related crimes. I have little sympathy for those who betray the public trust.

Dave Dubya said...

How about just this one?

Private sector jobs are growing and public sector jobs are disappearing. Where do you get your information?

FandB said...

Dubya - You really do stay point on with Saul Alinsky's methods. It didn't take long for you to begin personal attacks in the face of conservative truths, and then accuse others of "attacking the messenger."

Conservative principles based in the Constitition and other documents produced by the Founding Fathers are not "right-wing extremism" as you have characterized them.

Was Charles Manson a sociopath? Yes. Was he a democrat? Yes. He tried to eliminate the "rich pigs" in society, much as you, obama, and many other liberal regressive democrats are trying to do.

One of Manson's followers, Squeaky Fromme, even tried to kill President Ford in the mid 70's.

Was John Wayne Gacy a sciopath? Yes. Was he a democrat? Yes he was. In fact, he was a democrat precinct captain in Chicago in the 70's.

Obviously, I didn't mention Hitler, you brought him up. But I believe he was a Nazi, neither a republican nor democrat. Although I'm sure your comment was just a failed attempt at ridicule (another Alinsky tactic).

Dubya: "Why should corporations get away with paying no income tax?" ==> This is one of the most ridiculous assertions ever created by the left wing extremist talking points machine. MOST corporations pay taxes at a much higher rate than most individuals. And, most of their earnings are taxed at least twice, and sometimes three times - by the corporation itself, by its employees who receive a paycheck, and by shareholders who earn dividends or capital gains.

You're so far off base with NAFTA that we can't even begin that discussion until you educate yourself a little on what the terms of NAFTA are. (Hint: avoid getting your NAFTA information from left wing moonbat sites like HuffPo and Kos)

The hard truth of the matter is the two main reasons American jobs have moved to China are: the American consumers' demand for lower prices, and Labor Unions' incessant demands that drive prices up. I know it is a bitter pill, but one that we will have to accept before we can set about fixing the right problem. And fixing the wrong problem will result in failure, like electing obama, and becoming like Greece.

Dave Dubya said...

F&B,
If you don't see the personal attacks against me, you are blinded with hate, too. Are those comments offering information? Are they relevant in any way other than trolling?

They are openly hostile and clearly hateful.

You have no idea of what right wing extremism even is, do you?

"Why should corporations get away with paying no income tax?"

The fact is some do, some don't. It is ridiculous of you to deny reality.

Your contradictions are baseless.

Who's Alinsky? Never heard the name other than from Righties.

Manson went after the Hollywood elite. Democrats don't do that. Your kind of sociopath would.

He and Gacy are irrelevant to our discussion. Their crimes were not politically motivated like the FOX(R)-inspired Unitarian killer, and the long list of others I provided.

So you're saying jobs moved to China because more profits are made from slave labor? Ok.

Is that a good thing? Do you want those wages for Americans?

Why do you care more for the economic elites' wealth than for the prosperity of the majority of Americans?

Here you go Dave, as much as I find hard to believe you never heard of Mr. Alinsky, this link will bring you up to speed.

And here is a snap shot of the Loony Left.

1. "Would it be reaching to say the evidence is abundant that the radical Right hates outspoken opponents of racism, Islamophobia and homophobia, and the advocates of the poor, especially community organizers?"

2. "You are lost in more than fantasy land, make that paranoid fantasy land."

3. "Maybe you have attention deficit disorder or dyslexia."

4. "Now they have nothing but gibberish to spew as they nurse their anger, hate and frustration with their Friday night booze binge"

5."The elitists of the Right would have no standards at all if not for double standards."

6. "Liberals and progressives have been targeted and demonized like this for decades, and are quite fed up with it."

And with number 6 we see the real motivation behind much of what you post. Dave, you work in a very rotten environment of hate, mistrust, gray walls, barred windows and unspeakable acts of man on man. For 25 years you have been doing this, while looking all the time for some way to get out of the trap you have put yourself. You have trusted the state and your union to bring you happiness in you job. You are blaming all those who do share your misery in their lives by lashing out at those who have not relied on the state or their union for happiness in their job.
The grayness of your working world has clouded you mind and vision to freedom of not counting on a union or the state for joy.

I fear you are past all hope

I appreciate your attempt at what you may view as a compassionate analysis, though it is uninformed, demeaning and disrespectful.
.
If the job is depressing, dangerous and a rotten environment, why do you want to deny collective bargaining rights for those who work in those conditions? Your compassion seems to end there. Is "Let 'em rot with the convicts" your attitude? Do you have a conscience? Do you share the contempt and disrespect shown by Anonymous for me and my profession, and those who paid with their lives? Are these really conservative values? Are these Christian values? It is extremist hate, and if you share that, then I would say you are the miserable person, not me.

You accuse me of blaming others for not sharing my “misery”, yet you are quick to blame teachers, prison guards and cops for being in unions. They have done no harm to you. They have not caused the trillions of dollars of debt and deficit, yet you want to punish them. You want them to have less for the important jobs they do. And you wonder why this is seen as hate? At the same time you want the rich to have more money by lower taxes on investment income and inheritance, wealth that required no labor or minimal paper work, and probably contributed less to society than the American workers you wish to make scapegoats. What is it that limits your compassion to those who least need it?

Your diagnosis is not accurate. My happiness does not depend on my job or the government or a union. I'm happy for who I am, and who I love, and who loves me, my family and friends, and what I do with my life. I am as free as anyone else, even more so than a businessman or lawyer, or doctor who works long hours with no vacations. They may be a slave to their occupation too, you know.

It is true that I know what an environment of hate is. Prisons are. So is CPAC. Shame on them. But like hateful convicts, they have no shame...or conscience.

Look at the hate from F&B. He is comparing me to Manson. That is Right Wing extremist hate.

Your list of items is true and relevant to the context you lifted them from. Was there anything in there as hateful as comparing someone to Manson? Was there anything in there as hateful as mocking those who risk, and sometimes lose, their lives guarding violent criminals?

I'm glad you understand number 6 has been the case for decades now. It is getting old.

Dave,

You know I'm not much of an fan of FDR, you and I have had our go over that. I'm currently reading "The Forgotten Man" by Amity Shlaes. I recommend you read it, not because it white washes any one, but really shows the failures of Hoover and FDR's plans to stop and end the Depression.

Anyway I do agree with FDR that public workers should not be allowed to Unionize for the reasons he had.
It's not that I'm anti union. Its the fact that with Public Sector Unions, the employees get to pick who their bosses will be when they vote. That is a big conflict of interest and quite frankly, will lead to corruption.

I applaud you for your work, I wouldn't and couldn't do it! I wish you all the safety in the world.
I just do not agree that public sector workers should be allowed to Unionize, as did FDR.

Doe this make me full of hate? I'd like to think not, but you're the judge, it's your blog.

We want people to have jobs, not welfare.

I actually think Democrats want the EXACT opposite. The more people dependent on the government cheese, the more votes they can buy. Pure and simple. Obama is after all, the heavy weight champ of putting people on food stamps.

As for me being a psycho- here ya go-

The sheep generally do not like the sheepdog. He looks a lot like the wolf. He has fangs and the capacity for violence

I think Dave has seen so much crap, that's all he sees. I can relate to that actually, I saw how working around that type of environment can break you mind.

I think it got to Dave.

Very funny and accurate observations on your part. I caught part of the CPAC conference and it's yet another example of the sorry state of the GOP. I think the lowlight was the appearance of Sarah Palin. As she often does, her speech was filled with anti-Obama rhetoric, cutesy one-liners, and no real solutions. Considering the fact that CPAC doesn't pay its speakers, it's telling that she agreed to appear at this year's event. I think it shows just how irrelevant she's become in politics.

Speaking of Victoria Jackson, have you seen her web show "Politichicks"?

Just The FOX(R),
Thank you for your kind wishes for my safety. I wish health and safety for you as well.

I understand you are not a fan of FDR, despite the mess the Republicans left him to clean up. The failure Hoover left him was a quarter of American workers being jobless.

Unemployment rates went down during all but one of FDR’s years in office. 1933 - 24.9%, 1934 – 21.7%, 1935- 20.1%, 1936 – 17%, 1937 - 14.3%, 1938 – 19.0%, 1939 – 17.2%, 1940 – 14.6%, 1941 – 9.9% (Bureau of Labor Statistics)

Yes, I know you don’t like unions because Republicans resent their affiliation with Democrats. Do you think government employees with dangerous jobs should have no right to negotiate for their compensation, and no right to negotiate work conditions, often with bureaucrats unfamiliar with the reality of those conditions?

I really want to know what you think about this.

You agree with FDR. So do I. I’m guessing this is what you agree with: “All Government employees should realize that the process of collective bargaining, as usually understood, cannot be transplanted into the public service.”

That has been circulating in the Right Wing echo chamber for some time now. This is a typical Right Wing tactic of removing words from their context in order to misinform people.

FDR was opposed to government employees striking, not government employee unions.

From that same source, he said, “Organizations of Government employees have a logical place in Government affairs.”

And:

“The desire of Government employees for fair and adequate pay, reasonable hours of work, safe and suitable working conditions, development of opportunities for advancement, facilities for fair and impartial consideration and review of grievances, and other objectives of a proper employee relations policy, is basically no different from that of employees in private industry."

Do you still agree? I wonder where you got your information. Should you question your sources, maybe?

Its the fact that with Public Sector Unions, the employees get to pick who their bosses will be when they vote.

No. This is not at all true. Where do you get this information?

When I said, "Private sector jobs are growing and public sector jobs are disappearing”, you replied, “I do not agree with your statement”.

I asked where you got your information, but you didn’t answer me.

I don’t think you’re full of hate. You’re just full of misinformation.

Dave Dubya said...

Free,
Sure I’ve seen all kinds of crap, but that’s not all I see by any stretch.

I do have a lot of experience with stupid thugs, psychotics, and clever sociopaths.

I can also detect the fear and anger that seethes into hate and violence. I’ve developed a good sense of judging character. I can also see the basic goodness in most people.

I’ve had to learn to read people in order to know when to intercede, when possible, and prevent violence from erupting. It’s not just about prisoner assault on staff; we also get hurt breaking up fights.

As you may know, situations that bring out the worst in people may also bring out the best in others. I’ve learned not to judge people by the crap they’ve been through, but by the crap that comes out of their mouths.

This is the kind of crap I don’t see:

I actually think Democrats want the EXACT (jobs, not welfare) opposite

Obama putting people on food stamps.

What we have seen is an inherited recession and Republicans obstructing each and every attempt by Obama to preserve and stimulate jobs.

You’re no psycho, Free. (Sociopathic tendencies aside)

I know you are a sheepdog, and I would trust you to watch my back, as you could trust me, in a dangerous setting, regardless of our disagreements. Behind the walls, as well as in combat and other dangerous situations, (I was a fireman at one time.) there are no democrats or republicans, or any other political divisions. This is what makes us professionals.

I read your post, and yes, we can relate on a deep level on some things. You understand there’s an emotion-draining and soul-sucking nature in some lines of work. Some of us retain our humanity and positive outlook on life better than others.

As you said, “I watch people all the time. I wouldn’t have any evidence, it’s nothing I can pin point; it’s an instinct.”

This kind of instinct develops over a broader range of characters after so many years. Child molesters are an especially tricky sort to detect. They really do come across as normal. And they really are normal in most ways but their sickness. It is both sickness and evil. You are right. Their problem reflects a combination of deep inner emotional issues, often a history of being abused, and an utter lack of the fundamental human decency most of us take for granted. Most of us want what is best for children and care for them in a protective manner.

Even in prison they rate at the very bottom with their peers.

Malcolm,
Thanks for making it this far. Yes, poor Sarah is suffering from her kind of attention deficit disorder...not enough attention for her.

Sounds like “Politichicks” is good for a laugh or two.

Dubya: "What we have seen is an inherited recession and Republicans obstructing each and every attempt by Obama to preserve and stimulate jobs." ==> This is exactly why obama is a failure as President. Over three years into his term and he (and you and others) are still whining that he "inherited" a recession. That is the lamest excuse there is, but it has persisted for years in the democrat echo chamber.

President Bush also inherited a recession. But he never whined about it, he just fixed it, and he did so in spite of the economic problems wrought by the terrorist attacks of 9/11.

President Reagan inherited a massive recession, far worse than the one obama inherited, but he never whined about it, he just fixed it, and he did so quickly compared to obama. Double digit interest rates, double digit inflation, double digit unemployment numbers did not deter President Reagan. obama and his minions don't know what to do except try to throw money at the problem, and have failed to change the course. Right now, the economy is showing slight improvement in spite of the democrats' mis-handling of everything they touch. If there are any more hiccups, they still will not know what to do and the economy will likely head south again. But I am sure that if/when that happens, your democrat echo chamber will again rally around the battle cry: "Blame Bush!"

Of course, that means the democrats will blame President Bush once again, instead of fixing any of the real problems.

Dave Dubya said...

F&B,
Your puffery is as amusing as it is distracting and distorted. Democrats have been obstructed at every turn to fix things.

You completely ignore a little event back in October 2008. The elephant in the room, so to speak.

We were almost plunged into a severe depression. An unregulated Wall Street trashed our economy and robbed our wealth.

And you want them to continue their unregulated ways...

Brilliant.

FandB said...

Dubya: "Democrats have been obstructed at every turn to fix things." ==> And the democrats obstructed everything President Bush tried to do, and everything President Reagan tried to do, but they fixed the problems anyway and the country prospered and jobs were plentiful for years. Remember, dems took over the House of Representatives in 2006.

You completely ignore a little event back in October 2008. ==> I didn't ignore it. It's 2012 now, if obama and his minions were even slightly competent we wouldn't still be suffering from the 2008-2009 recession.

We were almost plunged into a severe depression. ==> Ha ha ha, yeah, that's what obama wants you to believe. It's just another overhyped democrat talking point from the democrat echo chamber in DC. Things were much worse after Jimmy Carter left in disgrace.

And you want them to continue their unregulated ways... ==> And now here is the straw man! Show me where I said that.

Dave Dubya said...

F&B,
I have to admit that is the most dense pack of lies yet in this thread, complete with your Bizzaro World history.

I pointed out a glaring omission in your previous nonsense about Bush "fixing" a recession. Yeah he "fixed" us up a good one, complete with unemployment taking a steep clime and our 401k's taking a deep plunge as he bailed out of office.

As I refered to your puffery, "You completely ignore a little event back in October 2008." ==> I didn't ignore it.

Yes, you completely ignored it in your little rant on what presidents inherited.

And you want them to continue their unregulated ways... ==> And now here is the straw man! Show me where I said that.

You didn't need to say it. It is part of your cult beliefs. Or do you agree with me, and want Wall Street more regulated?

Didn't think so.

Splendid job at concentrating so many lies in so few paragraphs.

You are a true koolade drinking believer.

FandB said...

That is why the democrat party is becoming known as the Party of Hate. If you don't agree with them on a policy level, be prepared to be attacked personally.

No. This is not at all true. Where do you get this information?

Dave,
Do you vote for your state senators, governors and congressmen? Aren't they the people who pass the budgets which includes the salaries of those who work for the state? So, if you have an election and one candidate does not want to increase the budget spending and the other does, who would you vote for?
Wouldn't it be in your best interest to vote for the one who wants the state to spend more each year, spending, some of which will translate into your departments wage spending allowed for the year?
VS the guy who says they want to freeze the state spending/budget?

Who would you vote for?

Dave Dubya said...

Just The FOX(R),

There you go again. You’re trolling again. You just asked me 6 questions after ignoring mine. And this is after I answered yet another of yours.

Doe this make me full of hate?
I don’t think you’re full of hate. You’re just full of misinformation.

Thank you. This proves me correct about the double standards you quoted me on... “Right would have no standards at all if not for double standards”.

Why should I answer you? I’ll tell you why. I am honest and share the truth.

What have you been sharing?

Not answers. Not facts.

Its the fact that with Public Sector Unions, the employees get to pick who their bosses will be when they vote.

You see that is NOT a fact. And if it were a fact, then it would be equally true for non-union employees. So this has nothing to do with unions, right?

Perhaps you want to strip away voting rights from all cops, firefighters, corrections officers, teachers, soldiers and every other government employee. I bet you like that idea, based on your false idea that elected officials are their “boss”.

Sorry, I wasn’t hired by a politician. Never saw one fire public employees either. (Although Palin pressed for the firing of the poor guy once married to her sister. She was cited for unethical abuse of power for that.)

Politicians do not issue orders. The boss does. Shift commanders, wardens and facility directors are the bosses. I never voted for one of them. Many Politicians come and go with no effect at all on the jobs public employees perform. That is generally the best case. Usually their meddling makes conditions worse or more dangerous. Politicians may try to pull the money strings but have no hand in the management of specific operations.

They have never been my boss.

Public employees serve, and work for, the people, just as the politicians are elected to do. You want a fact? Public employees and soldiers do a hell of a lot more for the people than the politicians ever do.

Here are my questions for you that you have refused to answer:

Do you think government employees with dangerous jobs should have no right to negotiate for their compensation, and no right to negotiate work conditions, often with bureaucrats unfamiliar with the reality of those conditions?

I really want to know what you think about this.

Do you still agree? (With FDR on unions.) I wonder where you got your information. Should you question your sources, maybe?

When I said, "Private sector jobs are growing and public sector jobs are disappearing”, you replied, “I do not agree with your statement”.

I asked where you got your information, but you didn’t answer me.

Well? What’ll it be? More double standards?

Dear Readers,

Since I’m feeling a hopeless void without Just The FOX(R)’s informed thoughtfulness, I decided to share one more hateful contribution from a raging extremist.

I know, I know I said we had enough hate for a while, but I decided our anonymous Sitcom/cartoon Section (All in the Family, South Park, and now the Jeffersons.) of the Hate Gallery should have credit for this Final Ceremonial Official Proof of Hate As we’ve seen, the personalized contempt and hatred from the Sitcom/cartoon Section (SS for short) are excellent examples of what the original post is all about. I thank him/them one more time for the authentic first hand corroboration of our topic of discussion.

And now, I present the final, award-winning entry for the Final Ceremonial Official Proof of Hate, from “George Jefferson’s Guardian”.

Dave Dubya said...

George Jefferson’s Guardian,

That’s a special kind of hate you have there. It’s interesting to hear how I didn’t amount to anything coming from someone like you, who did amount to something... a spot in the Hate Gallery.

Speaking of people who didn’t amount to anything, it’s interesting how your scorn for me is so much more than even for those inmates who amounted to even less. Perhaps inmates like Randy Duke (Bribes) Cunningham and (Mug Shot) Tom DeLay, or Jim (Fraud and Rape) Bakker may be more to your idea of people amounting to something.

I see you’re also uninformed about my kind of job. Nothing new there, most people are lucky to be ignorant of what happens behind the walls. I didn’t hand out soap. I interceded to prevent violence, responded to violent incidents and escape attempts, disarmed inmates and confiscated weapons. (If only you could see my blade collection.) Childs play for a tough guy like you, I’m sure. After all you amounted to.... whatever you are in your fearful little Limbaugh and FOX (R) sitcom/cartoon world of hate.

I wonder where you heard of Alinsky. I never heard of him until radical Righties like you told me I’m one of his disciples. I also never read Marx. Maybe I should so I know what you’re talking about. But why bother, you never read Marx or Alinsky either. All that matters is you are told that I do, because I’m an “American-hating commie”. We all know who told you this crap; the usual suspects like Coulter, Malkin, Beck, Limbaugh and FOX(R). You are metaphorically eating what you want me to eat.

I wonder why Alinsky is right up there with the Devil... Hmm...Could this mean...that, that.... Obama the Marxist Muslim... is actually.... the...the anti-Christ?

Good Heavens!
