Rallies

The voices of compassionate conservatism are at last shouting out their message in this Presidential contest.

We’ve heard the words at recent Palin and McCain rallies. Some were even uttered by the two candidates.

“Who is the real Barack Obama?” asked McCain.

The self-proclaimed ethical Sarah Palin has an answer. Obama is “not a man who sees America the way you and I see America.”

She also tells us Obama says all our troops do in Afghanistan is kill civilians. The faithful followers yell, “Treason!”

What are we to do about Obama Bin Lyin pallin’ around with terrorists? “Kill him,” came the recommendation from one loyal conservative.

Meanwhile, a meeting took place in Virginia on Sunday.

In McCain's Gainesville office Virginia Republican Party Chairman Jeff Frederick spoke to campaign volunteers who were about to go canvassing door to door.

The devoted foot soldiers for the cause of "Country First” (Trade Mark) were getting their talking points. Frederick urged them to show the connection between Barack Obama and Osama bin Laden.

Referring to the bumbling former radical Ayers, who never hurt anyone, Frederick told them, "Both have friends that bombed the Pentagon. That is scary."

A proud but indignant woman added her own bit of nonsense. "And he won't salute the flag.” Not even the one pinned to his lapel, apparently.

A confused conservative male volunteer offered his tip, "We don't even know where Senator Obama was really born." I wonder if he knows, unlike Obama, McCain was not actually born in the United States.

Maybe we don’t know everything about Barack Obama, but we certainly have learned something about the McCain/Palin gang of true believers.

After all the hate and ignorance spewed at Palin and McCain rallies lately, it's now time for my tasteless little joke:

What's the difference between the Nuremburg rallies and Sarah Palin rallies?...................Lipstick.

It is a sad comment on the american electorate when a connection can be made between Obama and Osama simply because their names sound similar. And listening to their echo chamber, if I didn't know better, I'd think Mr. Ayres first name was "unrepentent-terrorist". Is it really this easy to manipulate people, or are they required to check their brains at the door?

i guess i wonder after 20 months on the campaign trail- why we don't know who obama is. it seems like a failing on our part- not his.
