It's a shame that your protagonist didn't have time to read or look up words in a dictionary.

It's difficult to communicate with people who invent new definitions to common words, then insist that their secret definitions are the correct ones.

I noticed that your protagonist was also unable to engage you in the substance of the debate, but was easily distracted by words that trigger talking points.

I've heard a lot of ex-military and retarded (or is that now Palined) military (after 20 years you come out retarded) use the phrase "No doubt in my military mind". The right-wingnuts have the same mind set. If they were to let any doubt enter their minds that might bring down their whole house of cards. They can't comprehend doubting just one small part, it's all or nothing, and if there is doubt about one part, then the whole thing is suspect.
