It was from Reagan advisor Paul Weyrich.

Since you-know-who's party and supporters are a cult in every way, "they" are are also the proponents of their leader's cult dogma. Authoritarians followers are fanatically united in their loyalty to their authoritarian leaders. That cohesion explains how they have taken power, and established minority rule.

As Yeats said, "The best lack all conviction while the worst are full of passionate intensity."

Many of the rest of us are finding some of that passionate intensity, but will enough of us do so before it is too late?Dave Dubyahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03279370558997246976noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-134372208798387606.post-58286784187522968032020-10-22T02:53:47.015-04:002020-10-22T02:53:47.015-04:00By ‘they”, I read “him”. To some extent we are all guilty of plagiarism of ideas. But we rarely take credit for the ideas of others to the extent this administration currently does. There remains a question about his capacity for such original thought. He espouses the ideas of others as being his own. It’s not uncommon these days. But philosophical consistency is difficult unless it is well considered. Not with this guy. He and his Pixies must be the plural about whom you speak. Only selective consistency can be found. When he goes offtrack he frequently makes the news. He seems to believe it’s unfair. Makes him crabby.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-134372208798387606.post-10354775788635592522020-10-15T11:43:20.810-04:002020-10-15T11:43:20.810-04:00Testing, sorry Testing, sorry UnTrumphttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09666831483483258922noreply@blogger.com
