It looks like the FBI concluded that Clinton was only acting carelessly and not criminally.

It's no wonder, really, considering that the FBI has looked the other way regarding the Clinton's money-laundering schemes in Arkansas when Bill was the head honcho down there during most of the 1980s and up to his elevation to the U.S. presidency in '92.

As I said, it's little wonder. The whole system is fraught with corruption. When a population allows others to do the governing, and doesn't have the time or the wherewithal to monitor what's going on in their name, they get what they deserve.Jefferson's Guardianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16950868026721859555noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-134372208798387606.post-29178289640001728532016-07-04T09:30:37.804-04:002016-07-04T09:30:37.804-04:00I actually see a difference between a Trump and Cl...I actually see a difference between a Trump and Clinton presidency, but the differences will be marginal -- as they always are.

Luke, please don't envy me for my choices. It took almost a lifetime to realize that the system is corrupt and beyond repair. The more things change, the more they stay the same. Either "party" -- and I use the term loosely, because I believe there's a binding philosophical commonality to the two -- will commit to policies that are probably ninety-five percent identical. The other five percent is essentially eyewash, and thrown out there for the masses to quibble and fight over. The establishment -- the elites and powers-that-be -- count on that division to stay in power.

Please understand that I don't take my strong positions based on ambivalence and a desire for non-accountability. Quite the opposite. I'm attempting to get people to think critically and realize that the current political system is a fraud -- pure and simple. Until people conquer that cognitive dissonance that prohibits them from making the connections, they're always going to be in a position like we're in now -- or worse. The republic has already been lost. It's time to start thinking, seriously, about what's next.

On this Independence Day, think contemplatively about what was going through our Founding Fathers' minds. It wasn't an easy choice they made, and they knew it. We're going to have to make similar choices at some point. May our next "Independence Day" be the bell ringer that brings truth, justice and freedom to all Americans.

Have a safe and enjoyable 4th...Jefferson's Guardianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16950868026721859555noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-134372208798387606.post-65143299978988197702016-07-03T22:45:35.256-04:002016-07-03T22:45:35.256-04:00The election.

But there will be a big difference, and that's why I think a vote is important.
I envy you. No matter who wins you can claim you had nothing to do with it. But my choice is in the here and now, not some ideological hope that somebody else was running. Voting for Trump certainly does not come the application of truth, justice, and the American way, and Trump is certainly not faster than a speeding bullet, stronger than a locomotive, and able to leap tall building in a single bound. I would never vote for Trump.
I ...Exactly, Jerry. I would never vote for Trump.

I was just "considering" the only possible reason why I would. And it would make no sense of course, given the "consideration". I'll punctuate the word for better satiric clarity.

The thing is, there's little real consideration for most voters. Consideration must be based on facts. Facts can be difficult to determine in our corporate media version of reality.

Even worse, too many voters vote their beliefs over facts. Beliefs that are loaded with resentment, anger and blame for entire groups. Especially for the "Liberal media".

Republicans have indoctrinated their cult thorough enough to believe only their party, over journalists and scientists.

It doesn't make any reasonable sense to vote for Trump, because it is bigotry, propaganda, and emotional manipulation that decides their vote.

Dave Dubyahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03279370558997246976noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-134372208798387606.post-21470059287460113452016-06-29T19:30:02.291-04:002016-06-29T19:30:02.291-04:00Would you shoot a sick person in the gut to cure t...Would you shoot a sick person in the gut to cure them of a stomach ache?
