Better Blame ANTIFA, Amirite?

The slaughter continues unabated. The body count racks up more double digit death tolls.

And the violence is unaddressed by the Party of Trump and the NRA. In fact, the racist Big MAGAt doesn’t see a growing problem with white nationalist domestic terrorism. In fact he has dismantled efforts by federal law enforcement to address domestic white nationalist terrorism.

This violence has only increased during this vile reign of evil. That evil flows from the hateful rhetoric from the White House, from the rallies that foment racist hate like the Nuremberg rallies of the last century.

The Big MAGAt asked, “How do you stop these people?”  Someone replied, “Shoot them.” The Evil One chuckled and responded with, “That’s only in the Panhandle you can get away with that stuff.”

So...

Hell, yes, I blame Trump. He is evil. Period.

Hell yes, I blame white nationalists. They are evil. Period.

Hell, yes, I blame the NRA.They are evil. Period.

Hell, yes, I blame the manufacturers of weapons.

Hell, yes, I blame the racist MAGAt culture.

And hell, yes, I blame Hitler.

Trump, like Hitler, inflamed racism and hate.

White nationalist terrorism is directly inspired by the racist in the Oval Office. His bigotry is reflected, and his name is invoked, by the cold-blooded racist killers. The Party of Trump sees no blame in their ideology and in their leader.

No wonder they need to project their hate and terrorist threat unto ANTIFA, even though they have killed nobody.

If this evil is not defeated, our nation is absolutely finished.

Trump fuels hate for the press, liberals, Muslims, and minorities.

Trump is a pathological liar. Trump is a racist. Trump is willfully ignorant and indifferent to human suffering. Trump is fond of dictators and extra-judicial killings.

Hating minorities, Muslims, and the press, and even liberals, is evil.

Pathological lying is evil.

Racism is evil.

Willful ignorance and indifference to human suffering is evil.

Dictators and extra-judicial killings are evil.

Trump is evil.

Those who support Trump wittingly, or unwittingly, support evil.

Every Nazi, Klan member, and white supremacist is a Republican and/or Trump supporter.

How COULD they ALL be wrong?

There is also a lot of evil in Congress for enabling MAGAt. They have abnegated their constitutional duty.

We know the facts.

Yes, we know about Trump’s “teleprompter statement” given at the urging of his staff, which came after he blamed both sides for the death and injuries caused by his Nazi and White nationalist base in Charlottesville.

The NEXT DAY, and without his teleprompter, Trump said, "You had some very bad people in that group, but you also had people that were very fine people, on both sides."

The message to his fellow racists was clear. David Duke gushed, "Thank you President Trump for your honesty & courage to tell the truth about #Charlottesville & condemn the leftist terrorists in BLM/Antifa."

Republican House Speaker Paul Ryan said, "It sounded like a moral equivocation or at the very least moral ambiguity when we need extreme moral clarity”.

Calling Nazis “very fine people” is not moral ambiguity.

Birther Trump then went on to call black athletes, “sons of bitches” and black democrats of being “low IQ”, as well as accusing a black female reporter of a “racist question”.

“Teleprompter Trump” could not even hide Birther Trump’s racism for 24 hours.

The egregiously racist trope that brown women "go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came,” sent a tingle up the legs of his base.

This was soon followed by his base chanting to their amused leader, “Send her back!”

As we see every time, Trump's neo-Nuremberg rallies epitomize an "egregious display of hatred, bigotry and violence".

Notice how we didn't hear our President say:

"Though the shooter fired those shots, I recognize that my hyperbolic rhetoric and efforts to stoke my base's emotions by referring to a certain segment of our population as I would animals or invading armies may have had a contributing effect to the formation of the shooters' idiologies. I see now that using this cheap tactic keep my dwindling base active in the political process has the secondary effect of inciting violence against our fellow Americans. It is time to remember the United part of our great Nation's name."

lol

No. Cue blaming mental health issues while simultaneously still not doing something to help with mental health. The "Right" side of our political discourse are a bunch of ostriches. Pathetic, pathetic, pathetic ostriches. We can all see the President's tweets. Many of his rallies are recorded. We can all see the language and the attitudes and the environment he stokes. Then for his scripted words to be used as some kind of example of 'See, you can't blame the President for this, herf derf' is so ludicrously disingenuous. People that do that are just exposing themselves for the fools and ignoramouses that they are.

JTF posts some scripted quotes from the President. 4:30 this morning, as of this comment, the President is blaming the media and "fake news". We are living in a void of insanity right now when the President's words are reported or shown verbatum and a sizable chunk of the country refers to their mere mention as "fake news".

Pathetic, Pathetic, Pathetic. Just accept your hatred and your hypocrisy. Embrace it. Oh, no. That's right. That's not part of the Alt-Right playbook.

Once again, even Teleprompter Trump, failed at basic human decency. Mentioning Toledo, with a teleprompter yet, shows the entire Administration's disinterest and insincerity.

He glossed over the phrases "white nationalism" and "domestic terrorism" without connecting either to the El Paso massacre.

Instead we got, "Mental illness! The internet! Video games!"

Then there was the red meat to the NRA: “Hatred and mental illness pulled the trigger, not the gun”. Yeah, but the gun did the rest, didn't it?

The alt-Right can only PROJECT their hatred and hypocrisy. That's why we are the "real racists", you know.

Right. Also, let's not forget about "The Internet" being used to radicalize people. So, yeah, let's call for a crack down on "The Internet", never mind the fact these places on "The Internet" that radicalize these murderers are discussing, talking about, sharing rhetoric and talking points from the President. The El Paso shooter sought to combat the "Invasion of Hispanics" with his actions. Interesting how our President and other, like-minded liars, neglect to reflect on the words they use to communicate their thoughts. No introspection on how the President literally refers to the "Caravans" as an invasion? No?

Oh, and yeah, Videogames. Let's not forget about this old tried and true old people meme. VIDEOGAMES are causing this. Where are all the mass shootings/murders going on in South Korea and Japan? They play a hell of a lot of videogames. There was a tweet that I saw posted on a forum that I frequent from time to time that made a wonderful point. I paraphrase: "I've played a hell of a lot of Mario and I've never stomped on a turtle".

These arguments deflecting and diverting from the actual conversation are so frustrating. "This is the price of Liberty". I've heard this statement on political radio a couple of times today. This talking point/meme is so absolutely tone deaf. Liberty comes after Life in 'Life, liberty, and the persuit of happiness'. How about we talk about the price of Life? I think losing the ability to purchase a 100 round magazine and 250 rounds of bullets ala the Dayton murder is a cheap, cheap price to ensure the Life part of Life, Liberty and the Persuit of Happiness.

Mental health, videogames, movies, the "internet", lack of prayer... at some point we need to stop blaming things that aren't guns for gun violence. I'm ready for that conversation. I'm also ready for a sizable minority of people to unplug their F'ing ears to join me for that conversation.

Oh.

Right.

Antifa.

Let's label "them" an extremist group. Even though "them" doesn't exist as a group. Like those Right-Wing Militias and organizations that Republicans remove from extremist lists. Hey, imagine how many more people would have been saved had "The Right" not collectively lost their minds in the early years of the Obama administration when national security officials suggested monitoring these groups? No. That's an attack on Conservatives! they screed. No. It's a defense of life, liberty and persuit of happiness.

We live in a bazarro world where it's unfathonable how people can't see through the deflection and lies. But, whatever. Yeah, let's blame videogames, the internet, movies, the "Homo-Seck-uwal" Agenda, Feminists, etc, etc, etc... except for the guns. There. That'll eventually solve gun problems. Oh, right. And more guns. Need more guns. Then maybe the Cops in Dayton could have responded in 20 seconds instead of 30. Maybe he would have only killed 6 people instead of 9.

Dave Dubya said...

And above all, we must remember "only prayer" can stop gun violence.

TB3 said...

No. Not even the morons who parrot that think it'll stop the gun violence. It's a deflection. It's a way to shut down conversation. It's the "I'm sorry you got offended by what I said." of the gun control debate. A superficial statement meant to look like something on the surface but if you give it more than three seconds of attention you realize it's meaningless.

What was the title of this post again?

"I am concerned about the rise of any group of hate. I don't like it...Whether it's white supremacy, whether its any other kind of supremacy. Whether it's Antifa. Whether it's any group of hate. I am very concerned about it and I'll do something about it."

Oh, right. Better blame ANTIFA, amirite?

You see, the Big MAGAt is SO concerned about white supremacy he shuts down efforts by law enforcement to investigate white nationalist terrorism. But he wants ANTIFA to be labeled a "terrorist organization".

Of course he does, since ANTIFA is neither an organization nor terrorist.

Maybe we should just pray away ANTIFA while we're at it?
